Well good news is that I should be receiving income again soon on the flat. Not sure how long it will take.

Less good news is that the rental we said we would take has gone to someone who wants to sign a longer lease. Not that I particularly wanted to live in that property, but there are very few other options available so not quite sure what to do just now! Desperately trying not to panic. We could of course shove stuff into storage and go hotel/airbnb at first; but we have cats and not sure any of our family would house them even temporarily. 3.5 weeks to go. Yikes. I think we will have to go further afield and deal with the nursery commute.

Definitely what I'm thinking PF. When DH listened to the voicemail and then relayed it, I felt happier, which is weird as I am potentially about to be homeless :o. I am sure we can get something sorted though.

Brizzle - yes on the birthday, as expected all his dreams were realised at the hands of generous relatives, so ours went unnoticed :p

I am overdue a catch up but it's been a tough week. Our beloved furball got sick and had to be put to sleep. DH and I are in bits. Our glorious baby is no longer with us and we don't know what to do with ourselves :(. She has been with us for 12 years - we got her about a minute and a half after our buying our first house together. We've never lived together without her.

DS has been a little legend this weekend too, and I can barely even raise a smile at his cuteness. I am hoping the black fog lifts soon as life feels really quite sad right now.

Thanks INOD. I am a total wreck at the moment. I am meant to be packing stuff up but instead I am trawling through old photos trying to soak in every memory of her. She was a very special cat and I make no apologies to the non cat lovers for loving her as much as I do. :smileyhea

So sorry about your cat. They are so much part of us, it's so hard when they are not with us anymore. May she long chase birds and butterflies in the sky
