He did nothing wrong. I have even more information now which backs that up?
I installed a paid app on the ipad at the weekend and card details kept on file unbeknown.
Lad installs a free game yesterday afternoon.
Login stays valid for 15 minutes unbeknown to him,(and me).
Whilst browsing free apps 10 minutes later a featured add pops up on the screen which is the £150 app
Lads curiosity gets the better of him and he takes a look at the featured app as he can't believe the £150 price
App starts installing, I'm charged £150, (and yes, if you click the wrong part of the featured app screen it will install right away)
It's setup to fail and the more I think about it the angrier I'm getting. Once the money is safely back in the account then I intend to complain with all the details to the consumer watchdog.Pants0 -

If something is raised then I'll always try to answer. If it shows up in searches and helps others to avoid this pitfall then more power to us all.Pants0 -

Indeed. Lesson being don't trust Apple one iota. I certainly have and I ain't a lad.0 -
To be fair - it should state it will save card details in the future. I'm sure most people knew that they would but using this case as an example it is a bit flawed. However, kids and app stores don't mix.0

I certainly agree with you there, it is Apple who need to stop these auto purchases, not just for the sake of your Son, but what if it got stolen....just how many purchases could be downloaded before Apple stop them.
Albeit I do trust my Son, its the outside world of websites I dont trust.
I'd expect the answer there to be none as your device would be secured with a PIN or password. If it's not, do it now. All of the tools you need to make your device secure are there. Use them.0 -

Your hand is never out of your pocket with Apple products.
I have been an iPad user for a couple of years and not once yet purchased an app, only free ones. The choice of free apps is amazing. Sure, they want you to upgrade from 'lite' versions, and one day maybe I will, but so far I'm quite content with my free apps.0 -
hope that you got your money back, after this I would not let him used the ipad for anything! even if he begs, cries and had a tantrum about it.
he will get over it:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
