Evening everyone
So, today has been a day where anything and everything that could go wrong did. Starting with losing the work I'd spent a good few hours on this morning (just before a deadline and therefore won't get paid), moving onto parking in a multi-storey that was having structural repairs done to it (resulting in splitting headache and vibrating/painful ears) and finishing at me still trying to do some work at 9pm at night. There has been quite a few bits in between as well and after having a good old cry around 6pm (with big cuddles from Littley) and a rubbish dinner (I forgot to buy dinner today so did a bowl of pasta & ketchup for us, only to go to the fridge after dinner and find the food I'd bought this morning but had promptly forgot!!!) I'm now exhausted, achey and had enough.
On a plus side my dad got up and went for a walk today so it's not all bad. Now it's time to do the housework then maybe crash somewhere. Good job I've Sky+'d Suits or I'd really cry!!
Have a good evening/day tomorrow everyonexx

Hi everyone
What the power some sunshine & a relaxing weekend can do! This week has been so much better already, yes I know it's only Monday!!
As you know I got a new car on finance and started putting the money aside for the monthly d/d. I got the letter through on Friday telling me that the first instalment will come out next week. I already have 2 months saved up so am already ahead of the game. This also means that I have been fortunate enough to have some money somewhere to cover me for this month which means we can eat!! YAY!!
Littley got taken out for her birthday over the weekend so I spent the time making her a small stuffed owl that she'd asked for and it came out really well! So chuffed with it and can't wait to see her face when she gets it.
Got 3 mystery shops to do tomorrow and as they're all in the city I think I'll be popping into the V*rgin Lounge for a free cuppa thank you very much Richard! Got to have some treats haven't you.
Now off to watch DIY SOS and have a little cry at how so many love people help others less fortunate than themselves. Also reminds me just how brilliant a life I really have.
Night everyonexx

Afternoon everyone
Today I found out my Aunt passed away last night and to say I'm gutted is an understatement.
My Aunt is the lady I'm desperately saving hard for Littley to meet in Australia and so the knowledge that these 2 amazing women/girls will never meet is so upsetting for me.
We will still be going over to visit the family but if there is anything that is to be learnt from this is to stop putting things off. I waited nearly 20 years to go back and visit due to financial restrictions - many of them caused by myself - and now it's to flipping late.CC1: 10273.70/6892.56. CC2: 1000/832

I am so sorry to hear your Aunt has passed away
Massive hugs to you. I know how upset you must be - so close to your uncle passing too
Please don't beat yourself up over having not gone sooner. If it was that easy, you would have done it, but it isn't. It's just a very sad thing that they've never got to meet
Take care of yourself, hug Littley extra tight and treat yourself to something nice this evening.
Lots of love xx0 -
Thanks Rainbow
We shared many lovely letters over the years although not as regularly in the recent ones I must admit. But thanks to the wonders of Facebook & Skype we chatted or family members passed on photos of us all.
She truly is a fantastic woman who lost her first husband so young and still brought up 3 wonderful sons.
This weekend is Littley's birthday (finally!!) and she's asked to go out for dinner so we'll raise a toast to Aunt while we're there.
Today the sun is still shining, I've had huge hugs from Littley & I'm going into school for some parent/child time so today's a good day.
Well, these presents won't wrap themselves so must go.
Have a lovely dayxx

You keep calling me Rainbow.. twice now I've noticed it!
Very jealous you've still got the sun shining where you are. We've had horrible rain the last two days.
Hope Littley has an amazing birthday. I'm sure she will with all the gifts you've managed to get her!
Have a great weekend xx0 -
Oh my goodness so I have! Sorry hon, don't know why I did that cuz I know it was you that wrote those kind words.
We've also had rain but that's in the evening/night time so it's been ok, kept everything nice and fresh.
I wrapped all her pressies up for her and finally finished making all the bits I wanted to - her card, a stuffed toy and a cookie jar (complete with cookie ingredients in!) - so am now suitably shattered!
As it's so lovely I'm now off to get my Mum from work then stop off for some "cheap as chips" fish & chips to eat in the garden, and relax!
Have a great weekend honxx

Morning all
So it's been a mad week here in the Sassy house! Littley's birthday went better than I could have imagined and she had a great time. She also got over £100 in cash & vouchers so we went on a big spending spree yesterday which was amusing to watch. There were several things she wanted that she didn't want to spend her money on and made her realise how easy it was to over spend. She ended up with clothes, teddies (including the dreaded Build a Bear!) poster and other stuff plus she bought me a hanging heart with a beautiful poem about how mums are blessings and she's so happy to have me as hers. Bless her. She also managed to come home with £20 as she couldn't find anything else she wanted which was great. Seeing a 9 year old stating that the cost of things is ridiculous was quite amusing.
I've not put anything into the holiday pot these last few weeks as I've been really tight on money and I feel rubbish. I've been in contact with my family over there and they're all expecting us and saying they'll book holiday so I better get my butt in gear and start putting money aside again.
On a plus note I've some more mystery shopping work coming through so that's good. It's all supposed to be going straight into the pot but I'm having to keep a little of it back at the moment just cuz it's tight. I've not managed to get another big contract(or any actually) in my normal work and that's where the problem lies. All these extra jobs I'm getting should be for the pot but atm they're covering bills so something MUST come up soon grrrr.
Anyway, time to go and cuddle my littley a little more and do some work.
Have a good day everyonexx

Hello
Very glad to hear Littley had a great birthday! It's funny she's already realising that money doesn't go very far! Sounds like she got a great haul of money and presents though
Keep at it hun, things will pick up soon! Fingers crossed you manage to get another contract ASAP. Something always comes along when you need it to
Enjoy the rest of your day xx0 -
Naw, thanks hon. Yeah, Littley did really well. Be nice if I did on my birthday - at what age do you start getting less for your birthday!? lol
Have a nice eveningxx
