    Still covered by dsr.

    The right to cancel is different for services and for personalised goods (depending on how you categorise the purchase).

    So no, dsr isn't much good to op unless they've breached the performance clause by taking more than 30 doors or breached the contract in another way.

    Exceptions to the right to cancel
    (a) for the supply of services if the supplier has complied with regulation 8(3) and performance of the contract has begun with the consumer’s agreement before the end of the cancellation period applicable under regulation 12;
    (c) for the supply of goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised or which by reason of their nature cannot be returned or are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly;

    Chances are they have already completed what they were contracted to do.

    In which case ops not gonna get far.
    In fact a court may award certain costs (travel for example) to the other party.
  • I really need to get my ar*e into gear and set up some similar sites charging for DVLA, Passport, EHIC, etc forms. They must be a real money spinner. :D

    (joke)

    Unfortunately, whilst people continue to misunderstand how the internet works, and the tell-tale signs that what they are dealing with isn't what it seems, you're right.

    Distance selling regulations. Google it for details but in a nutshell you have certain rights to return goods that were purchased over tinternet - i.e. at a distance. However, personalised goods such as prescription glasses are excluded as they're a bespoke item, and the scammers like this try and put themselves into this category. I have no idea if they are or are not immune from dsr.

    It's very easy to get scammed I imagine. I saw a few EHIC renewal websites the other day which looked genuine. Bizarelly, the genuine government one looks the most 'fake'!

    Anything with 128 expressed terms and conditions should spark immediate concern.
    Be happy...;)

    These services are available from other government sources for no fee
    Now I would say the word OTHER is an association word, this would give the impression that this site is part of the Government as it states Other Government sources.

    I would say this one term misleads the contract and is a designed to deceive.
    Be happy...;)
