As the title says, I finally got my money back from Mighty Deals....just over a month after they took it.

I was getting nowhere creating "tickets" on their website, or emailing them at the addresses they supplied...I then got a standard reply saying they were looking into it from someone called Stephanie at support@moneyexpert.zendesk.com. I kept writing to this address and at the same time notified Paypal that my goods hadnt arrived...

Paypal got word from MD that they were looking into it....

Stephanie came back to me shortly after this apologising for the trouble, telling me my refund would be with me in 5-7 days, and gave me £20 MightyCash as a good will gesture...

I combined the £20 with a free £10 Mighty cash promotion, and ordered 12 bottles of wine..I had to pay an extra £6 or so...

The refund period had gone over its 5-7 days and rather than continue to send more emails, I escalated my Paypal notification to a claim...

I got an email from Stephanie again to say that by escalating the claim in Paypal I had put back MD paying me....I told her that was ok, as I couldnt be bothered to chase this money and would just let Paypal do it, but this type of attitude from MD just encourages people to head to the forums to write discouraging things about MD and how they hold onto peoples money...I got no reply, but the day after, I got notification from Paypal that my money had been refunded to Paypal...

Paypal then shocked me by saying it could take upto 28 days to show on my payment card....it actually only took 2 days...

So I finally got my money back and 12 bottles of wine for £6....for my trouble.

I dont usually buy goods from these sites, as I can usually find them cheaper elsewhere...This laptop however was really cheap, it was higher spec and less money than others on the same MD offer, so I'm beginning to think it was a deliberate setup, as the spec was really "too good to be true" for the price....and as they say, things that look "too good to be true"....usually are!!

I cannot believe people are still dealing with the shower Mightydeals.

If you value your sanity stay away!
  • I too am being ignored by Liam a mighty deals customer services agent. I bought an iPhone 5c in November for a gift. After finding it was faulty I was given a return address & I posted it on 30/12/15 by special delivery at a cost of over £7. Tracking the phone I found Royal Mail attempted to deliver it on 31/12/15 but failed so took it to the local postal dept. Where it sat for 3 weeks! I emailed Liam at MD few times to ask him to contact the merchant to go & collect the parcel with no success. The parcel was finally delivered on 20/01/16 but still am getting no reply from Anyone at MD, apart from visiting the address I posted it to I'm not sure what I can do next, any suggestions?

How did you pay for it?

or try the email address I gave above to see if anyone else contacts you..I was usually contacted back within a few hours....

If no success there......If you paid via Paypal....use their claim service....it worked for me..

Yes I was adding to Poppyoscars reply, so all the options could be read together, but see your point...
