Short term anxiety is unlikely to be classed as a disability.

I have had this anxiety since I started this job - it will very nearly be a year. I am pretty sure it becomes a disability if you suffer with it more than 12 months under the equality act?

unfortunately an EO grade and above is a mobile grade, which means they can move you about either departments or locations to suit business requirements

I understand that, but i have never had the original role i applied for , for them to move me around?

Surely some form of notice would have to be given for this too?

You cant just dupe somebody into a job, then post them elsewhere without even telling them!

Look up the definition of a disability under the EqAct and consider if you meet it, then consider how you feel you are being discriminated against - you're not.

You are being very naive about this. You need to find a way to get on with your job or find something else. You were not offered the other job - you have no legal recourse.

I think they can because officially you don't really have a job role on your contract only a grade, Ive been moved 3 times in 18 months each time I basically got told a day before.

I think if you were in my position you would feel very different.

I find it hard to believe that advertising a post and then placing a candidate in a completely different role is actually legal?

Surely thats some sort of mis-advertisement of post?

Luckily i am in a trade union and in the process of gaining legal advice.

As soon as you start the company can ask you to do anything they seem reasonable.

    This isnt reasonable though?

So much for a Fair, Open and Transparent recruitment policy they claim to have!
