All electric heating is 100% efficient doesn't matter if its new or old. You need to cut down on your heating as said thats the main reason your consumption is high. The only way to cut down bills is to cut back and or use heating on a cheaper tariff like economy 7 which uses storage heaters but you tend to pay more for peak consumption of electric

If you cant do that maybe get a stove for heating obviously costs money to do

Logicor is all it says as far as heating system?. Its wired to a computer which tells me how much its costing! I use the computer to control each radiator.

So you have wet radiators connected to an electric boiler.

Logicor just brings up a logistics company on google so I don't know what your boiler is.

Is your water heated through an immersion? Do you have a boost switch that might have been left on by accident?

You may want to consider getting an oil-fired heating system put in. More expensive to run than mains gas, but a whole lot cheaper than electricity.

Obviously, you're looking at a fair old chunk of cash up-front to get it installed ( boiler + oil tank ), but if you're planning to stay in the house for a reasonably long time then it could well be worth it long term.

May not be appropriate for your situation, but just thought I'd mention it.
  • Im in a orbit property. It was the energy doctor that said these are much cheaper than storage heaters. My house isnt insulated well either so my heating is on 21 all the time.
  • P.s I had oil but it made me ill due to smell and costing 350.00 a month to run.

    These?

Who is the energy doctor, did he wear a black hat or a mask?

My house isnt insulated well either so my heating is on 21 all the time.

You have your answer, why are you running it when you are in bed, 19 or 20 degrees is plenty, have you got the immersion heater on 24/7 as well?
That gum you like is coming back in style.

    You were lied to.

Storage heaters would cost much less to run.

However, if your house is poorly insulated then you should be looking to solve that problem first. Every heating system is going to be expensive if you have nothing to keep the heat in.

I would be looking at cutting your electric heating down even a few 0c would cut your bills down a lot. Wear lots of thin clothing to trap air this keeps you warm. I try and not have heating on during day unless its exceptional cold outside and I have someone at home who suffers from cold acutely. Also insulate your home and cut down on any drafts

Is she on ecomomy 7 tarriff, i ask because i have storage heaters in a 1bed flat and if i use them like last yr i can use between 50 and 55 units a night and my hot water is on the ecomony 7 only comes on 12-7am.

If she is on a normal single meter its sounds right she wil be using that much electric.

Is the new heating system not meant to be used with economy 7 or 10 for the extra boost in evening.

When i was with a housing !!! they done all they could to help with insulation windows and new heating (home housing). sorry i caqnt be much help i feel really sorry for her.
