    .

I just hope they do that to an unmarked car one day.

Karma, what goes around comes back around!

I was once being tailgated in a 30mph zone by a souped-up BMW. It was dark and I remember his headlights were really bothering me. At the first opportunity he overtook me and sped off into the distance, only to be followed in quick succession by an unmarked police car flashing blues.

I couldn't stop grinning as I passed them a few hundred yards down the road.

Sharnard - the Highway code gives advice, and orders based on law. The stuff based on law is a MUST, the rest is advice.
You say 4x4 driver COULD have let the bus out. I say SHOULD. Because the Highway Code says he SHOULD (not MUST).
You don't sound like a very considerate driver. If you were stopped in a queue of traffic, and a bus wanted out, wouldn't you let it out? You'd get a mark against you in your driving test if you didn't.

When the highway code says should, it's an advisory, you dont have to.

Yes, that's what I said, repeatedly. The 4x4 driver didn't follow the advice in the highway code. Do you think that's good driving?
