How can I stop them taking more payments under different names? For all I know they could be trying now to do that - only thing stopping them at the moment is that I only have £5 in the account.
Come Tuesday there will be more money in the Bank so they may clean me out then again?
Will the bank cancel my debit card if I ask them for the reasons above? Maybe not as it has not been lost or stolen and the majority verdict on here seems to be that I have been a fool, it's all my fault and no crime/deception has been committed!
If they don't cancel the card and on the basis that I do not know who the other companies associated with the1loan are I could well be skint and chasing another 'refund' come Tuesday...0 -

Quite. People posting on here who seem to be 'clued up' have no sympathy for people who are not clued up. Hindsight is a great thing.
A number of posters on here are telling me what happened when I got stung - but they were not here when I went through the process - and it easy to go to a web site, look at the 'FAQ's/T's and C's etc. - but that was not how it happened in my case.
Had I seen ANY hint of fees I would not have proceeded. Simple.0 -
Ask your bank tomorrow what they can do, as far as I know cancelling the card wont do much good.0

Because she went via a broker who pass her details onto lenders.0 -

Answer: They don't say anything, because there are no further payments to be charged!
You write for your refund, get it...and to put your mind at ease, if any payments (whether from this company or not) are processed, you simply tell your bank they're unauthorised and they'll reimburse you straight away. But there won't be any.0 -

But, Kittie is saying that they have associate companies (or web sites or whetever in different names) that may also take money from my Bank?!0 -

Even if they do act to find you a loan offer (between now and when they receive your letter) you still have accept it...and you won't be doing that in a hurry now will you?0 -

That is not what some are saying on here - there are comments that I will not get refunded by my Bank on the current £39.99 (albeit that the Bank told me today that the payment is 'pending' and therefore not yet transmitted to the claimant's Bank) because I don't have a valid reason (eg: fraud) for stopping the payment - ie: saying that I have been a fool and not read T's and C's on a web site will not be a valid reason for the payment to be reversed.0 -

You'll get your money back from the broker, but may have to wait 30+ days for it.0 -

The problem, maybe, is that the OP went to the site www.verymerryloans.co.uk which is where the quotes in my previous posts are from, all saying there are no fees.
If they are then forwarded to the other site, their details are already submitted so it seems feasible that the page with the box to tick (which is the one where you input your details) is missed out? I don't know what page the OP landed on when redirected as I am not willing to follow the process through that far.
