Where? The website text is worded very carefully.

    A loan broker approving loans?

The owner will say, if pressed, that his company approves the request for a loan, not the loan itself.
These things STRONGLY suggest Very Merry Loans is a/the lender.

I'm not denying that, however 'suggesting' is exactly the right word - nowhere is it unambiguously actually stated that Very Merry Loans lends any money itself.
    Odd.

Why is it 'odd'? The owner of Very Merry Loans is just being devious, to the extent allowed within the law (which in this case appears to be a rather large extent).

Which further supports my view that brokers should be more heavily regulated.

There are very few financial circumstances where a broker/advisor will be required for loan, and many are IMO pushing it to the limit, whilst remaining on the right side of the law.

    .....very carefully ambiguous yes:D
  • I've just used VeryMerryLoans.com and everything was explained fine? Not sure if you've read but they don't charge any fees, if you are declined by their panel of lenders you are redirected to a broker who charges a fee - but you are under no obligation to proceed, they also state clearly they charge a fee..

I however was accepted by a lender who are due to pay out tomorrow morning! - I guess if you have really bad credit, your options are limited.
