Some may not be fog lights but drl's or because it makes the car look cool innit.0

Fog lights should be connected to a device which restricts the speed of the vehicle to 30mph.
If the visibility is poor enough for fog lights to be on, then you shouldn't be doing more than that anyway.
And it would put a stop to the plonkers who think driving with fog lights on is trendy."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -

Unless they drive round town and stick to the speed limit.0 -
Unfortunately the scenarios when you're driving at 30mph, are usually the ones where incorrect use of front fog lights are a pita for oncoming road users.poppasmurf_bewdley wrote: »Fog lights should be connected to a device which restricts the speed of the vehicle to 30mph.

Front fogs are annoying but they shouldn't dazzle if there are set up right as by there function there designed to shine lower down than your dipped beams and the bulb are not a higher wattage.0

Gets on my nerves - I quizzed someone in Tesco car park and they said they had them on because it helped them see better. When I mentioned that they're not meant to be used apart from in poor visibility, they told me I was wrong and you can use them whenever you like.
How long until a moron joins this thread and defends using them in non-foggy conditions?0 -

Arguably they (front at least) can help you see better but that doesnt change the fact its illegal to use them when not foggy0
