    Maybe M&S

Or find a friend who is going (difficult maybe......) and sell to them

Buyback rates are often - nay always poor.
  • Just wanted to point out the list of cards on the article (http://travelmoney.moneysavingexpert.com/) are quite out of date. The Halifax one should definitely be in the other column (DOES charge), at least.

I've not read any of the above, but just wanted to point this out. There doesn't seem to be a "wrong information / error" e-mail contact.

edit: nevermind, I've just realised it's referring to "Cash advance fees" for buying from an exchange house, rather than "currency conversion fees" for using the card.

With the euro/pound at a record low of about 1-28, even at Travelex,it`ll be cheaper to holiday at home!
  • Ok I know this is an impossible question but is the euro going to strengthen or weaken ? Of course if anyone new they could be worth a fortune but has anyone any 'feelings' - it seems to be strengthening by the day - I need £2,500 in euros in June and could order from Crown Currency at (I think, I'm waiting for confirmation) 1.31, but of course I'll need to take the money out of my interest payng savings account ! (Isn't life complicated) - PS why's Crown Currency not on Maximiser ?

I have been buying euros on a regular basis since they were first introduced at the start of 2002.
Only last summer I could get 1-47 from Travelex.

The current rate of 1-28 is the lowest I have ever seen,in fact, today at the post office, it`s a miserly 1-2645.

The so-called experts predict it`s going to fall even further over the coming months so mabe 1-31 for June is a good deal
    who knows?

I`ve given up bothering and intend to stay in this country for my hols.
Massive heatwave predicted for the summer and bad weather all over Europe
