We've tucked ourselves in with an episode of StarGate followed by Gotham:)
What bliss! I watched the first two eps of S2 of Falling Skies (and listened to the audio commentary on the first one as well :o I was tired, honest :o:o:o
KC I'm envious of your drive to get out for an evening walk - once I'm home after work it would take a minor miracle for me to go out again even though I know we "should" walk after dinner!
I don't go for long, believe me! But a day like today, where things had temporarily gone a bit wrong, I needed to get out of the house - I work from home, remember :o As it was, it was perfect - my sister rang just after I got back, and we had a lovely talk. Can't quite find a smiley to describe that.
I remember the King Tut exhibit when it toured and came across the pond to my city's museum - I was fairly young but remember it vividly! Just amazing!
It was *vivid*, wasn't it! Gorgeous :)
Personally not really bothered about meat being Halal or Kosher as I'm not a vegetarian - if we do purchase meat I'm partial to organic free range when we can afford it (red stickers of course) which is not too often. At that little restaurant it's actually the paneer cheese wraps, the potato wraps and the chickpea wraps that have me salivating as I almost always pick a veggie option when I eat out given the chance! My diet is mostly plant based with lots of greens!
Quality is what matters, spot on ... I know so little about all this, because I've been veggie for so long, but I don't take any account of kosher or not, because I thought that was just how its stored, i.e. what other foods its stored with? But I thought halal is actually about the animal not being given a pain-free death _pale_ so if I *know* about that beforehand, I can't give any of my business to an organisation that adopts that stance. Though as I say, I'm really not sure of the definitions ...

Sorry, you were wanting to be helpful in recommending a good place in London! And you have, thank you! See, Gally will be profiting from your input as soon as tomorrow :j

    Paneer ... I've made paneer, y'know :D

    Thanks honey :kisses3:

Well, be careful of your criticisms of the treatment of animals during kosher slaughter (especially and specifically the stunning issue) as it gives rise to accusations of anti-semitism.

  • Morning Karmacat, I hope today proves to be a productive one. Well done on making yourself go for a walk, I wish I'd done that last night.

I'll be shopping. With Mr GG. Making him spend his money. On clothes. For himself. 'Enjoy' isn't the best word to use really . 'Survive' maybe? or 'survive with your relationship intact' :rotfl:.

I never mentioned it, Z, though I'm interested to hear it (well, sort of, this whole discussion is tough). The linkie didn't work for me, not on any of that site, so I googled the term generally ... turns out kosher is more than just storage!

Also turns out that halal and kosher alike are no-nos for me, whenever possible.

Okay, I think I'm done on that discussion, on the whole I'd rather be talking about veggie-ism, or science fiction, or flowers, or going out for the day. How about moneysaving? :D :j

Talking of which, there isn't much in today's newsletter from Martin that I can get my teeth into ... I want another Visa card, and nearly all the offers seem to be Mastercard. Pah!

Oh! The regular saver! Even if I have to transfer money from my existing saving account, its so high, its worthwhile - 4% or something. Thats good :D

Tilly - thanks, yes, the walk was little but it just set me up, you know? Hope you feel brighter yourself too :)

Today - wow, rain again, even some thunder, a long, rolling wave of it. There's 2.5 hours of client work, book editing, admiring the stacks of cumulus clouds, weeding and pruning as long as I can stand on the paths and not sink into the [STRIKE]bog[/STRIKE] grass.

Income: my net income from the recent Amazon sale, taking account of printing the packing slip, was 25p :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

My mum found 3 sets of Olympic stamps, and sent one set each to me, my sister and my brother for us to use up :rotfl::T I declare income of £3.72 :rotfl::T

Well caught MWC, I didn't see her there - GG, we're depending on you to report current shopping experiences in central London. I am, anyway :rotfl:

The link in your last post doesn't work on my laptop:(. I get the header of the website at the left side at the top of the page but no other text. On the bar thingy at the top of the screen (you'll see how computer-literate I am:o) it says 500 Server Error. I'd be very interested to read it if you can post an alternative method of access please.

Saw Tutankamun when I was 16, though :) and a lot since then too :)

I remember that one, although I didn't see it myself.

There was a King Tut Exhibition at the O2 a few years ago that I did see, although they didn't bring the mask with them that time
