Those are good to know, thanks! I'd no idea stuff like that was sticking at 60 years of age entry - because the state pension age is shooting upwards, I suppose. I'm certainly going to keep my eye on that lot :)

    [STRIKE]- 2 hours client work[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]One hour done.[/STRIKE]
    Two hours done - 2.5, actually :D

[STRIKE]- cleaning before first client arrives :o[/STRIKE]
    Definitely all done.

[STRIKE]- off to the local post office to post the Amazon book that sold over the weekend.
Sales slip is printed, I'll pop over there when the PO reopens.[/STRIKE]
    Done!

[STRIKE]- take pix of the ski stuff, and accept the reduced rate ebay listing that I *did* get an invite to (I suspect nearly everyone who's ever sold on ebay got an invite :D though I *have* just started up again).[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Pix are taken, I'll fetch a cuppa tea and get started on them.[/STRIKE]
Pix downloaded and resized, the rest will have to be tomorrow.

    - any spare time, start on the editing.
    Not yet!
    Definitely Tuesday!

Been working on social dates for the next few months too - lots of meals out, basically :D
and I need to find something in London this Saturday, my sister's going to see the poppies and I saw them the first weekend. So we'll do something together after that ... JL on Oxford Street is also calling :j

Am currently reading MrMoneyMustache - the stories of people who write in are as amazing as anything on here :)

Well, that didn't work out :( Got completely stressed over it, especially after discovering that I'd have to use a Rail Replacement Bus, which adds about 40 minutes each way, its just too much :( so I've had to cancel, and its all a bit upsetting. Its taken until now to sort it out, so the only thing I've done this morning thats productive is open the post. Literally, the only thing, the rest has been faffing about.

About once a month, I have a second cup of coffee. Today is the day. Lets hope it sorts me out and I can do *something* with the rest of the day. Ebay will have to go hang, I need the book editing done.

Oh poo - so sorry to hear your London trip did not work out KC :( Buses & trains can be such a pain when they are not working properly! Not worth getting yourself tuckered out for a trip into the city! Last night my trip home took 1.5hours instead of 50 mins and it was exhausting!

If you do manage to sort something & end up at JohnLewi$, there are a couple of nice cheap places in Soho to eat (veggie friendly)
Have a look at this one - I'll be eating there myself day after tomorrow when in the big smoke for work.

New projection - 14 YEARS 10 MONTHS LEFT OF 20 YEARS (reduced by 15 mths)
Psst...I may have started a diary!

Just been on the website you linked to and read the menu. Was salivating at the descriptions even though I won't be going to London for months and probably couldn't afford to eat there anyway:(. Sadly, from the rolls' filling ingredients, it looks as if all the meat and chicken used are halal:eek: so I certainly wouldn't eat there for ethical reasons. I know you said it was veggie-friendly so that may be worth a look but when, on the very, very rare occasions I can afford to eat out, I like to have some sort of meat or chicken dish.

Its true - I felt drained just trying to work it all out :(

 halal? Erm, isn't that about not using stunners on the animals before they're killed? Oooh ... RT, I don't think I could go there. But am I being old-fashioned about that? Is that still true? I wonder what is/was the truth?

I also can't open the page, for some reason, my virus programme won't let me :o

I've sent my research to my sister, and she can decide what she wants to do. So what I'm actually doing is what I planned to do all along, the book editing. And good grief, what actually stands out is how little I grasped the use of the apostrophe in its/it's :o:o:o Its such a sight  Anyway, lots of protein, lots of cups of tea, and I foresee cracking open the Cadbury's Orange that was put aside recently :D

What I'm *really* focussing on for this evening, however, is that my DVDs of Season 2 of Falling Skies have arrived :j:j:j

The timing is impeccable :rotfl: thank you Noah Wyle :D

That's a shame about the London trip, but it can be very difficult when trains aren't running on schedule.

A few years ago, the British Museum had a Terracotta Warrior exhibition. As I've been obsessed with the Terracotta Warriors ever since they were uncovered, we pre booked for our visit.

It turned out that there was major engineering on the day of our visit, so we had to have a big rail detour, including buses, to get to London

If we'd had any choice, we wouldn't have gone on that weekend, so I don't blame you for changing your plans.

The visit to the exhibition was fantastic, we were able to get very close to the exhibits.

I'd love to go to the actual site - there is a river cruise and tour that does this, so maybe one day.

    Enjoy your DVD evening

Thanks Goldie! I hate cancelling, and I'm expecting a bit of a push from my sister (I don't think she will, its my own guilt :( ) but I could feel my whole body saying "nooooo! ..... noooooooo!" so I just had to listen :o

I remember that Terracotta Exhibition - I think I was working 6 days a week in those days, never made time to go see it. Saw Tutankamun when I was 16, though :) and a lot since then too :)

DVDs are nearby :D and even though its pitch dark right now, I'm off for a walk round the block. I did break up the day by finishing chopping up the leylandii I'd cut, but I need a breather right now too.

Done a quarter of the editing - its slow going, because its such an improvement :j

You have a good evening too.

We've tucked ourselves in with an episode of StarGate followed by Gotham:)

KC I'm envious of your drive to get out for an evening walk - once I'm home after work it would take a minor miracle for me to go out again even though I know we "should" walk after dinner!

I remember the King Tut exhibit when it toured and came across the pond to my city's museum - I was fairly young but remember it vividly! Just amazing!

Personally not really bothered about meat being Halal or Kosher as I'm not a vegetarian - if we do purchase meat I'm partial to organic free range when we can afford it (red stickers of course) which is not too often. At that little restaurant it's actually the paneer cheese wraps, the potato wraps and the chickpea wraps that have me salivating as I almost always pick a veggie option when I eat out given the chance! My diet is mostly plant based with lots of greens!

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
