Aww, thank you :kisses3:
To be honest, unless its a special number - ending in a 5 or a 0 - they don't mean that much, but I had to confess to the SB points :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Happy Quiet Birthday!
I've always thought of Swagbucks as being slightly confusing, although I've never looked into it too much. How many SBs do you need to get a reward/money?Early retired - 18th December 2014

Happy belated birthday KC
Just been reading your diary and finding it all v inspiring! May also nick your year review idea! Seems the kind of thing to do pre-new year whilst finishing off a glass of Xmas fizz!MF planning for the simple life :j0 -
Awww
thank you all! It honestly doesn't feel like a very big deal, I really am laying in wait, so to speak, for next year, this is all terribly quiet, before lift off. Today, for example, I needed a bit of shut eye, as I slept so badly last night, and the rest of the time I've been looking at the materials stash. Part patchwork, part a good few yards of various material I've bought while abroad over the years - I'll definitely be doing something with it when my work surfaces are clear
Downshifterella - a review is really crucial to knowing your long term situation, its so easy to get swept up in the day to day ... I'll check out where you're posting.
Goldie - wow, talking about day to day, thats swagbucks! There's daily stuff and competition stuff and survey stuff. As to how many points for a reward card, its *extremely* arbitrary. Until yesterday, Amazon £5 certificates were "on sale" at 620 points. Today, they're 720, and still claiming that they're on sale at 15% off. Hmm. Paypal is a little more expensive, and in general the higher value the certificate, the cheaper it is per unit. Basically, they work to sound generous, while being anything but ... such is life. To be fair, they get no profit from me at all :rotfl:
My Wilko order arrived, but I've not dealt with it yet, I got too involved with the material stash2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Faffing with SB - signed up for a free course on digital marketing, from Shaw Academy, which I've seen around for a long time - that could actually be quite good.
Fabric stash has been organised and stored - no projects done, of course, but I have an idea now. Don't think I'll be using it to make my own curtains though - it's all a bit dark for that. And the one in the office, mid-room to hide things from clients, that's not wide enough for the porch. So it's off to the sales, for something that looks good long term, and the fabric tidying is something I can tick off the long term list for next year - until the rest of my mother's stash comes down south2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Aw thanks KC I do like a good old review to see where the starting point is!
Good luck with the course and the shopping!MF planning for the simple life :j0 -
On the additional earning front, have you tried Prolific Academic? It's a bit different, as the surveys are to help with academic research. I signed up on 10th December, and so far I've earned £9.50, and I'm awaiting another £3.95 to be approved by the researchers.
You can cash out via Paypal at £5, but fees are charged for amounts below £20, so I'll wait until I've got £20. If the researcher doesn't approve your survey after 21 days, then the money is granted automatically. When you sign up you have to verify your email address and mobile number, and complete lots of eligibility questions, so you only get surveys you are eligible for.
Some of the surveys are odd, and I did one today where English clearly wasn't the researchers' first language, but, so far I'm quite impressedEarly retired - 18th December 2014
