On a different note, did you enjoy Fantastic Beasts? I took DS2 to see it (he's 10 and a total Potterhead) - and we both thoroughly enjoyed it

Sorry to hear the sad news Karmacat. A difficult time for you and your family. Please try and be kind to yourself re sorting out the house etc; I found that hard enough to do when my Mum went into a home. Hopefully there is no rush for you and your sister. Take care0

So sad to hear your news, KC, and just adding my condolences to everyone else's. Nothing else to say really, everyone else has expressed so well what we are all feeling.
Take care of yourself:kisses3:0 -
What lovely messages, thank you all. I *am* feeling a bit more tired today, I probably do need to take things a bit easier, as I got straight back into all the admin and food shopping yesterday. I'll pace myself a bit more today - want to stay well for Sunday, I'm off to have a look at my niece's new flat, and help my sister sort things - not only has she got bits and bobs from our mum's house arriving eventually (like me) but she also has her stuff turning up from the French house, which she's managed to sell within a year of putting it on - astoundingly good for that market. Even better, it's been bought by a young French couple. But it does mean her need is greater than mine right now for space.
Space-wise, I'm really glad I didn't get rid of my big bookcase - rejigging will be afoot next week.
Fantastic Beasts - greent, I loved it! I'm a total Potterhead myself, and I'd seen a "Making Of ..." on TV a few days previously and already fallen in love with the Niffler. I rewatch Potter films every now and then, and what I *do* think is that some of the chase scenes that only show lightworks will be things to fast forward. Other than that, loved it :T2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
KC I am so sorry to hear your news - nothing to be said that hasn't been already, but adding my condolences to the list.
Sending, love and strength for now and the times ahead - it can be so stressful at times and I hope it all goes smoothly for you now the main confrontations with institutions is now over.
Please don't forget to take care of yourself (((((hugs)))))
