    Yep :j:j:j hello lovely peeps.

To be honest, its really weird :p these last few days particularly so - these aren't friendships, they can't be, but they *feel* like it. Odd.

Still, after about 30 minutes, my happiness at not doing that work any more comes flooding back and I'm jumping about again :j:j:j

I had that dental hygiene appointment this morning, lovely, lovely bloke, who loaded me up with free toothpaste as well :D

My garden has finally had some rain, so I can pull up weeds again, rather than having them embedded in concrete :p

A YouGov survey about nothing in particular takes me to 3150 or something

Still no work booked in next Friday, I won't count on it yet. I'm retiring, y'know :D

Nice steady rain here today too, so I am also looking forward to prising some weeds out of the clay. Yesterday I did my weekly hour session with PT at the gym (necessary to prevent more muscle loss and hopefully build back up) it always wipes me out, but I consider it to be necessary, came home, had some lunch and started dropping off to sleep - mug of tea in hand and computer on lap:eek::eek::eek:, so I thought of your efforts and forced myself into the garden for 20 mins deadheading , it was really warm so couldn't do more, but it did wake me up sufficently to allow me to make the hour round trip drive to see my mother:D

Great to have done the hygienist visit, I need to make an appointment and see mine, but need to get some more urgent stuff in the diary first.

    Have a good weekend:)

Wow, maddie, thats a long session in one go - not surprised you needed a rest after that! But the people at my chronic fatigue clinic would definitely have also applauded getting up and deadheading and going on a familiar visit - it really does make you feel worse if you keep on resting. Thats where little and often comes from!

Your mum must be around the same age as mine :) hope she's doing well.

I have a dental checkup for the end of September, but I couldn't wait for the teeth cleaning any longer - I'm going to beg for twice yearly checkups again, which include basic cleaning. Doesn't seem too much to ask. But yes, there's a lot else on the agenda :D

Today, I need to post some birthday cards, to my SiL, and do a bit of pruning before the wind gets too bad - I'm always wary of strong winds, a loose slate whirling off and coming down on your head will do for you, good and proper. In that recent storm, I had *two* areas of roof damage because some tiles at the top of the roof were pulled off, and hit others on their way down! Proof of the pudding, etc, etc :p

So inside stuff today: cleaning the bathroom, tidying the kitchen, shredding, interesting stuff like that :p

I hear you about the weirdness of the last few days of work, its a strangely bittersweet time.

It feels as if work is actually quite nice after all, as everyone is nice to you.

Then you remember how bad it would be to carry on working, and it all feels right again.

I'm on holiday for a couple of weeks now, so I will wish you all the best for your retirement day. It's strange how quickly time passes as it doesn't seem that long since you set your retirement day, but it must be a couple of years ago

Anyway, have a super dooper day, and I will read all about your new life when I return from my holiday

Oh my, yes, I remember that your cruise was starting the week before I finished work - and here we are :j:j:j Yes, it'll all be here - including the snoozes, one of which happened this afternoon :D

See above (re. snooze :rotfl:). I posted the cards, I even hand wrote a letter, done some pruning throughout the day, and two minutes at a time of shredding. No tidying. The snooze was the biggest bit, honest :p

Slow inroads are being made :)

The best thing about a snooze is that it stops a longer period of feeling shattered, and makes one day feel like two days :) so this is the third day of my weekend, even though I worked on Friday :)

So, today, more shredding - not very onerous, honestly. I sold a CD! For £6, hurray :) I'll get that ready to post tomorrow. Hopefully a bit of out-and-about-ness, rather than just sticking to the garden. I'm hungry again already, though, that will need seeing to :rotfl:
