Just caught up! Sorry to hear about your friend.I love the coloured list, and the idea of doing 15 mins on each per day. I am getting a bit lost juggling everything, and I might just borrow this idea to get things moving again. Thanks!
Thanks earthgirl :) I have to confess though, that I meant 15 minutes in *total*, not each - my energy limitations are pretty severe :o even though its better than it was.
Actually, I'm feeling very trepidatious this morning as I've made an appointment to have my hair cut at 10:eek:. This is such a big event for me as I've always had it long and am going for a really short cut this time. Well, definitely maybe! The coloured bit has grown a lot (I persisted with my plan of going naturally grey)and there's almost enough grey showing now to look reasonable if it's short. It's a really nice grey too, I'm very pleasantly surprised. Maybe a full Judi Dench would get rid of all the dyed bits but I'm just not brave enough:o. There's still time to wimp out of going and having anything done though. Decisions, decisions:eek:
CBC, I hope you find one of those pens :j:j:j the colours certainly seem to spark joy :T:T:T

My haircut is happening at 11am, just after yours! I quite like this one: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/236x/b9/7e/03/b97e036619891ff49efcb4261d490c8b.jpg which is Jodie Foster just a few years ago. I'll do a hair dye test tonight, and all being well I'll dye my hair on Monday  that won't be regular, just for the wedding.

I'm another one for coloured organizing!
:T:T:T Definitely The Best :A Even whizzing down the page can give you an idea of the balance of what you've been doing :D

Today: haircut, I'll try to do the banking while I'm there, maybe even buy some frozen veg, then tidying at home, and the hair dye test later on. Right now, I have to wash my hair - it's not dirty, but no way am I going to the hairdresser unless my hair is absolutely ***cleeen*** :o

    :j Happy haircut day! :j

I'm overdue to touch up my roots! :o (at home or course :money:)

The process is never as bad as I make it out in my head - but it's one that gets procrastinated to no end - usually until the point with the boss & I are comparing how grey we are getting! (she's just as bad for putting off the dreaded chore!)

rtandon, I really empathise with the dreaded root touch-up problem. I could procrastinate for England on that score and as my hair seems to grow abnormally quickly I seemed to be ready to do it every 3 weeks:eek:. Also, I'm only 5ft 2 even when I stretch to my maximum and just about everyone else in the world is much taller:(. I was paranoid that they could all look down at my grey roots. I don't know why it bothered me so much as I'm totally un-vain otherwise.

Anyway, the haircutting has been done and I'm so relieved now that I took the plunge:j. All the colour has gone although I maybe went shorter than I initially intended in order to achieve it. Strangely, although it's grey/silver now I'm sure I look younger than I did when it was longer and light brown:rotfl:. It's a nice youthful cut but knowing how fast it grows I'm expecting more expense than I can afford in having regular trims to keep it looking good. When It was long and all one length I used to trim it myself:o

KC, I love the style you linked to:T. I hope you are as happy with it when it's finished as I am with mine:beer:

Oh, sadly Wilko didn't have any of those pens and I didn't have enough time to try anywhere else (dratted parking limits and traffic wardens:mad:).

That pen makes me happy :) what a great find, RT!

CBC, I'm glad you like your cut - I like mine too, absolutely (though I'll like it more when I've dyed it :D It doesn't look quite as good as Jodie's, mostly because I wimped out at getting it that "short" - I've been cutting my own too, and I let it get ridiculously long. And I'm aware that short = maintenance costs. I'll just have to become a multi-book writer

Haircut was halfprice, £24, and I gave the stylist a tip based on the full price, seems only fair, he spent 1.5 hours with me  which completely exhausted me but has been a result. I still managed to collect the makeup I ordered from JL last weekend, sitting in the local shop that serves as the distribution point :T and I've had a go - I still want to achieve a line of eyeliner gel :rotfl::cool: :rotfl: but I don't have the right sort of brush, I forgot about that :p

Water's heating up for a shower, I need to relaxez, then tomorrow its collecting the rail ticket, and hopefully buying some frozen veg (and a makeup pencil? Sainsbo sell those, don't they? ;)). That'll be me for the day.

Glad everyone's pleased with their hair cuts - it's a nice boost to have a style you're pleased with

I've had short hair for many years now, and go every six weeks for a trim. I also have my hair coloured, but underneath I'm getting quite grey now. I'm tempted to let the colour grow out so I can see just how grey I am now. It might be a bit of a shock!

To offset my hairdressing costs, I cut Mr Goldie's hair - but I'm not letting him loose on mine!

I let my colour grow out over the winter so I could get away with wearing a woolly/fake fur hat whenever I went out as my hair was the colour of a tortoiseshell cat for a lot of that time:eek:.

It was only the onset of warmer weather that made me do something about getting the colour cut off:rotfl:
