    My packing method.

Do a packing list 2 - 3 weeks before holiday.

Approx a week before, start getting things out, and piling all the stuff on the spare bed.

1 - 2 days before, put things in cases, ticking off the list everything that goes in.

Highlight anything that hasn't been packed, like the last minute things such as comb, toothbrush, etc,

Before leaving, pack last minute things, tick them off the list.

Check list, to make sure all items ticked off.

It seems to work for me!

This is fascinating, about packing! I manage it by having a list of everything I want to take on my phone - and every time I actually put something in the bag, I put "Y" (for "yes"!) at the end. Never done it this way before, but it seems to be working - except for last night, when I forgot I'd put my toothpaste in the bag (only have one tube open at a time) and had to use a bare toothbrush :o

I just couldn't do it in the days beforehand - having a bad time right now, I've spent about 5 hours in bed today :(

Thanks both - plodding is what it is, absolutely. I had 2.5 hours work today, which kept my mind off it a bit, and there was still sunshine, so that was good. Doing a bit of research to see if I can help, and making sure I stopped faffing about to watch "my" sunbathing ginger cat head for the shade :)

Thanks greent, much appreciated. Plodding on is what it is ....

I'm doing much the same here today, while admiring the new buds of the aloe vera plants I repotted a while back. Nice to see :)
