I'm good, thanks, GG x 2 :j :kisses3:
The sun has been lurvely today - almost like early summer, not even springthough I confess, with the aftereffects of yuck mashed potato, I did nothing whatsoever - food is supposed to nourish you, and this stuff was practically toxic. Never mind.
Supermarket delivery ordered - plain veg, bit of tinnedand a printer cartridge - sadly, for the Amazon sale yesterday, my black cartridge ran out, so I had to write it out
:rotfl: I really hope I don't get a black mark!
Couple of 2nd hand box sets I'll be putting back onto Amazon - I've got a bit used to zombie *novels* now, the free ones on kindle, but I still really dislike seeing the images - everyone raves about The Walking Dead, so I tried season 1 - no good! And Babylon 5 season 1 too, omigod, how I loved that tv programme. I met every actor, and most of the behind the scenes peeps, in 7 or 8 conventions. And its unwatchable, it really is. Very sad, but not something I want to give house room any more. I blame Kondo2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Morning all
Right, the dishwasher is on, I've rung my sister cos of an anniversary today (and she bought me tights for the wedding cos my colour eye for tights has atrophied from disuse) and this is my to do list:
- email SiL
- email Norfolk rellie
- post the wedding acceptances - don't know why this is so difficult!
- start cleaning the bathroom - if I was run over by a bus, I'd be ashamed
- cat blog
- other blog
- buy frozen cauli etc at local shop to tide me over to Sainsbo delivery.
- hunt out veg seeds I already have - do I have chard?2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Oops ... quick update before I slink off to drink my coffee in the garden ... I must have been having this conversation about chard and kale and whatnot already. An mse member (who shall remain nameless unless she comes on here and says "oi") has already sent me courgette and kale seeds
:o:o She's not been on this calendar year, I don't think, as she's retraining, but there it is
Will experiment with the lettuce seeds I found, but I'm really doubtless of them germinating they're best before 2010
2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Sow them all thinly in a tray? - you never know - I've been using up 2011 cress seeds and the germination rate has been really good! (although they did take a longer time than normal to start off)

Absolutely! I'll try them anyway, over the weekend. I'm so terrible at growing from seed - I don't get the watering right, once I've done the initial planting, I'm very cack-handed
Right, couldn't hack doing anything in the afternoon apart from one load of laurel waste to add to a binbag today ... so today, the priority is a client at 1pm and around that the blogging. Do it!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Is capillary matting worth a go? Or you can you use old tea towels doubled up or cheapo kitchen sponge pads under the tray, they aren't as good as the proper stuff but for occasional use might help keep things ticking over
(and of course are a bit more MSE)

Darpett, thank you for delurking, what a good idea! I've certainly seen capillary matting around, and once I retire, my houseplants might need it too
I've certainly got lots of material I could use instead of the bought stuff, thats for sure
Just managed to post a blog, complete with linkies to appropriate websites, am very happy :j
In the middle of that, tried to give Amazon Associates my banking details, so they can pay me my penniesbut they want my BIC nowadays, and I have the IBAN details, but not the BIC, so messaging system used at the bank, plus latest CC paid. I *will* get clear to do lots more blogging, IwillIwillIwill, I tell you **stamps foot happily**

If Amazon are sending the money from within Europe the IBAN should be sufficent. It's possible to get the BIC from an Internet search..... But definitely safer to ask your own bank.
Pesky Amazon wanting too much information!Early retired - 18th December 2014
