That's right, I did an external degree in Faffing from the University of Moonbeams :)

Sister and I are off for a play in a very pretty village in an area that neither of us usually visit - gorgeous, gorgeous weather down here :) hope everyone has a good day too.

Morning! I've been wandering about here for ages this morning already, so I have to do some cleaning and get ready for work, oops.

Pretty village yesterday was lovely :) and I did some mystery shopping there a million years ago one winter, so it was good to see it on a gorgeous spring day. There's a listed building called The Cat House - I'll be blogging about that :)

Working just after midday, till 4pm. Zoom ....

Oof, that tired me out today ... it was good, though. And while I was waiting, I started to attack the top file tray on my desk! Haven't spent a huge amount of time on it, but things are no longer spilling out of it, so thats a start, and it makes the room look nicer even now.

Yougov survey. 50p. That makes me think of financial tasks in April for the year ahead:
    - start the bog standard work for the tax return
    - check which fund has invested in what sort of vehicles.
    - read up on pensions. Work out hypothetical situation of drawdown vs annuity for my particular amounts of pension fund and dosh.
    - dependent on previous point, put maximum allowable amount from savings into pension.
    - tell Amazon (Associates and kindle) my bank details, so they can send me the dosh they owe me.
    - I made an Amazon sale today!!! A book of filk, science fiction fan music, its been for sale on Amazon for about five thousand years. Very happy for it to leave the house, and after post I'll net about £3.50, so thats good too. Must post it tomorrow.

Ooh, always cheery when a book that's been up for ages is sold :j :j I had to unlist all mine when I started packing - no way I'd remember what was being sold and keep it out just in case :rotfl:

Hope the sun is shining as much as it is here!

Thanks all! Yep, it actually netted me £4, I overestimated postage costs, ha :) I like selling on Amazon because it just stays there, you don't need to keep relisting it like ebay. But of course Amazon won't take the fiddly bits :D

It *is* lovely and sunny, same yesterday - the washing on the line was completely dry :j And more fallen laurel leaves went for the high jump :D

Note to self: never eat supermarket version of dried mashed potato, it gives me a headache the next day. Yuck. I slept really badly, because the poison was working its way through me. Totally self inflicted though! And as a result I'm about two hours behind, because I gave up trying to sleep and started reading my kindle ... I am so, so lucky I didn't have to get up at 6am to do a commute ... eternally grateful for that.

Working at midday. Today is a bit tricky

Middle of week 20 in the retirement countdown though. Thats good ;)

Hope today has gone ok, I know it's a big drain in your energy xx
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Hearing about the Amazon book reminded me of the good old days when I did Greenmetropolis. I'd have books listed for literally years, then someone would suddenly come along and buy one.

    Hope you're doing ok today
