Yep, the latest one, with Benedict Cumberbatch. The reboot :)

Aw, Alchemilla :( it came out about two years ago? You've got a busy, busy family life, after all. This is it on imdb: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1408101/?ref_=nv_sr_1 And yes, the dvd is making its way into the charity shops now, so look out for it there :D it has a tiny snipppet from Leonard Nimoy, not the big part he played in the first reboot, but very nice to see anyway.

  • What a coincidence that you just mentioned Leonard Nimoy, I was just thinking about him:rotfl:

My earliest PC was by Time (called, surprise surprise, a Time Machine). Leonard Nimoy was the 'face' of the advertising campaign for it. I've had stuff stored in the boxes in the shed long after the PC had died and have just emptied the last one (with LN's face on the front) and broken it up for the recycling collection tomorrow.

Leonard Nimoy :j:j:j I adore him - I love that he felt so ambiguous about Spock, and I love that he was *such* a successful director well after Star Trek. And I've read a few stories about him after his death that confirm he was A Good Bloke. No higher praise than that.

Al, you've seen the first reboot, right, with Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto back in 2009? See that first, if you haven't :) And of course, the library! Excellent choice :D

CBC - thats amazing :rotfl:you've just been dealing with that box??? :T I think I had a Time Machine too :D

I'm reading a book as homework for my fatigue thing - it's banished fatigue temporarily because I'm so angry at it, I'd rip it to shreds if it was an actual book, not a kindle copy. I'm not throwing my kindle around, not for anyone! I've written loads of notes in the book, as you can, and they're more and more swear-y, I had to stop in the end, horrendous :mad: Several essays about the thing are deleted here - really not worth it  I'm going again tomorrow, we'll see. I may be back quite early

I've done a bit more sorting in the garden, anyway - mostly cutting a bit of grass, doing a little tiny bit of weeding at the edges. It's still going to look like a wilderness on Saturday, such is life. Bit of cleaning in the house here and there too, I've got a full morning. Worky worky work, zoom zoom (thats the adrenalin, sorry!) :rotfl:

My Time Machine was from around 1999. I remember ordering it and having to wait about 2 months for it to arrive, there wasn't much 'click and collect' in those days:rotfl:. I don't think PC World and stores where you could actually buy computers off the shelf actually existed anywhere round here for years.

I seem to recall that it was really expensive (compared to prices nowadays), like VCRs were when they were relatively novel.

Not a sci-fi fan myself but, like you, rate Leonard Nimoy highly and have also heard only good things about him:T.
