I just sold one for £36 on Ebay! (looked totally out of place in our garden)
Argh! Hadn't thought of ebay (doh!) - will give that a look

Yep
We still have lots of chairs - but they're not the same
However, worst case scenario is one of the local garden centres usually sells them half price come July/ August, so may go with that if nothing suitable found beforehand. We have a lovely area perfect for it in the garden

There's a lot, isn't there, but I bet I could find some ecological alternatives in my shopping town on the south coastThis link made me think of all your chat about postcards.

) and there is *sun* now, but I'm still coughing and spluttering from this air pollution.
Still, slow cooker is on, cooking green lentils and kidney beans, so I'm going to have another .... 8 ... minutes on here, and do the blog post

I wonder if the solar kettle works at night? I love the thought of waking up to a cup of coffee that has been partially fuelled by starlight! Then again, it's all starlight, isn't it? It's just that the sun seems a bit garish.0

I really, really doubt it - but its a wonderful thought.
As many a science fiction author will tell you, we *are* stardust. And its true - everything past hydrogen and helium has been created in stars

Gotta love a bit of science.0

I think a solar kettle would work well here.
Our back garden faces south west, so we get a lot of sun.
I'll put it down for future consideration.......we're now thinking of replacing part of the fence at the the bottom of the garden, as the old one is in danger of falling down. I suppose fencing has priority.
But solar kettles are interesting and more fun, as well as being functional.Early retired - 18th December 2014

Interesting, fun and functional, sums it up well, Goldie

However, its *very* grey out there right now, and its just started raining
I disapprove ... I'm dizzy with tiredness too, couldn't sleep after 4.30
I disapprove of that too. Had to do *something*, so I'm packing, for next week, which has me wandering about the house with a single something in hand, then retracing my steps five times :rotfl:
I'm also noticing how much I *don't* deal with the mould. I might be so distracted today that I do it :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Morning!
Solar kettle is out there this morning - I'll check on it after I've posted this, its been out about 2 hours by then, and I've moved it once ... I'll use it for a cuppa tea, I could just do with one
Packing has continued - nibbles for the journey, electronics for photos and notes ...
And I picked up a library book I'd reserved on copywriting - might have a read of that today. It didn't cost me anything to reserve, which is why I picked it
and now I've got it, I find its from the rare books section of the county archive! Weird or what?
I've just had a tip about cheap herb and veg seeds - https://www.park-promotions.co.uk, I've ordered 8 packets of seeds for £2.70 including postage, there were 3 I especially wanted, and I was *so* close to paying £6 yesterday in Robert Dyas! Very glad I didn't
