Hello there !
I'm glad you are beginning to feel a bit better. If it's any consolation, you are not alone with the lurgy - I've just spent a week on a ship with lots of people coughing and sneezing! I spent they whole time dodging germs!
Please make sure you don't overdo things in the recovery stage - we want you fighting fit to prepare for the next stage of your life!Early retired - 18th December 2014

Thanks SF
Goldie, hi there - fancy having to lurgy dodge on board a cruise ship! That doesn't seem fair! I really hope you didn't pick anything up.
I've been on a research binge, but yes, I've had enough now - ready to not exactly lay down, but certainly conk out with Stargate DVDs... fighting fit for the next stage is definitely what its all about, you're right2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I THINK we were successful in dodging the germs - I did have a sore throat for a while but it seems to have gone now
Cruise ships are a nightmare for lurgies. Mainly older people in an enclosed environment - once a germ gets a hold, they go down like ninepins!:eek:Early retired - 18th December 2014

Morning :hello:
Hmm, I don't think I'll ever be going on a winter-time cruise then. Unless I win the £1million premium bond, and go to the AntarcticMy winter holiday of choice will probably be right at the southern end of Spain (ooh, just had a look on google - Jerez, Seville, Granada and Malaga are all clustered there. I used Malaga Airport once, the city itself is tres chic, even though lots of the bargain basement resorts use it.
I'm definitely on the mend :j Spontaneous thought on waking up: what shall I do today? :j Of course, once I saw how deep the frost was, I realised I'm not going anywhere, but I am going to be pootling around the house. Really, really little stuff: putting the rubbish in the bin, getting the recycling out of the house, tidying up, that sort of thing. And not much of it, either  I just want to keep on eating well, and healing.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I actually managed to go on a walk this afternoon
to where "my" sloe trees used to be - its a huge, huge building site now
but it was still lovely to get out. I didn't pound the pavements, just did enough to get by, but I was still out for half an hour, bliss.
Decided to get going on ebay ... free listings for lots until 6th January :j so I quickly relisted everything from before Christmas (erm, none of it sold) and by the time I'd finished, I had an offer of £5 on a £9.50 item. I checked on the ebay section on here, and, no, not taking that offer, so I sent a nice message, hopefully I haven't alienated them, even if they don't buy it.
I also finally listed 4 of the magazines - SFX. You have to love a magazine which listed the price as "Three of your Earth Pounds"though I think they actually stopped that quite quickly. I'll do more tomorrow, I'm just happy to get it started, even if its very little actual cash.
