Sadly, the stuff I did on NYE was too much - I've had a relapse, thats why I haven't been online
I'm seriously thinking of bringing forward my retirement date by a year, retiring at the end of *this* August, not '16. I can't fund it at present, but frankly if I don't have my health, then its not worth carrying on doing it anyway.
Still got the blood tests to find out about, and the NHS counselling too, hopefully. We'll see.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hope you feel better soon. No need to make final decisions now and we'll just have to find a way to make it work this year if necessary. Am sure Ed has a formula for it.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Hi Gally! Yes, thats true. The lead-up is about clients' needs, tho - they need to be able to work through losing me before I go; ethical therapists need to give an awful lot of notice - I'd already told some about 2016...
Ed's spreadsheets and formula will have the answer, though, I'm confident2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
What do we need to formulate?0

If you have any problem with fatigue you *will* have relapses. They're part and parcel of the problem, and even when you're doing "nothing", you'll end up exceeding your limits. Don't worry about it - you're here now, you're alive, and the yesterday when you felt unwell is gone forever.
Think of it like the movie Speed, but in reverse - go too fast and you'll blow up. Except nobody knows what "too fast" is, it changes day to day, and you have no speedo.
In short, get used to blowing up...
It may look grim now, but it does get better. You will get better at judging things and not going too quickly, so you will blow up less frequently - if that's any consolation."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Hi KC, sorry you haven't been too good.
I really hope a way can be found for you to retire this year, it would help so much.
I suppose it's learning to pace yourself, so you know how much you can do without having a bad turn. But it must be so difficult to know what is the right level of activity, not to mention the frustration of wanting do something, but knowing it's likely to be to much.
Anyway, you are back with us, so that can only be a good thing:)Early retired - 18th December 2014
If your dreams don't scare you, they're not big enough0 -
Agree with Z.
Learning to pace yourself is one of the hardest things to do.

Hi KC, sorry to hear you've overdone things a bit. It's really hard to balance things. I know I have wobbles and take some hermit time. Fortunately my friends understand.
I'm not sure what health problems you have and I'm not prying but is there any opportunity to leave events after an hour? People could see you but you could monitor your stamina?
I'm sending you a virtual hug - I hope you can regain your strength quickly.
