:kisses3:Thank you both.
My decision to buy the standard rate train ticket home is now bearing fruit - I can use it up till 23 January! This isn't the best start ever to a personal new decade, but some hard thinking is required about plans. Might be better doing long holidays rather than living elsewhere. The two flats hypothesis is gaining ground, with one as my main address full time. We'll see. Right now, its still the lead up to Christmas, and I *will* get well and have the odd glass of port2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Sending hugs KC! Sorry to hear you are fluish - feel better soon!

Thanks RT - I've realised I can cancel my train ticket, as its a standard one, and probably buy a replacement much cheaper - it cost almost £100! because of the time of year.
Nothing financial going on obviously, tho leftovers exist. Won a book from Martin's newsletter comp! Amazon paid me for a book. Had to cancel some sessions with clients cos of illness. Paid credit cards. That sort of thing.
Am consoled by the thought that even if I do very little work on the tax declaration, I can alter it within a year or so. I'll do my best to get it right, but I'm not going to sweat it. We'll see.
Hope everyone's doing well.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Greent, thank you
Cheery, do you remember a brief conversation we had about risk reward ratio? I decided at the time to buy the standard ticket, not a "one train only" ticket that was £20 cheaper, because of the viruses I get. Turns out to have been an excellent idea ...
My sister's doing some last minute shopping for me, and she'll deliver it tomorrow while she's on her way to return some shoes that don't fit. I have a Personal Shopper at Waitrose, bless her :kisses3:
In other exciting news, I managed to have a shower, wash my hair and change the bedding one after the other ... I must be on the mend, slowly but surely2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
good news on all fronts! :j :j
I do indeed remember that conversationIt's what makes me spend an extra £1.25 a day on work travel to not be fretting about getting specific trains :j Worth it every time! :j
Hope you're feeling brighter soon x0 -
