Hi all,
Apologies if this is in the wrong section.
I need to get back a large sum of money that someone owes me.
Can anyone recommend any solicitors that would be able to write a stern letter.
I'm based in London.
Many thanks

You dont need a solicitors letter. You can write your own.
Simple and to the point. You paid £? for a service. state what the service was.
Your failed to receive that service or unhappy with the service.
They have 14 days to complete the service or refund in full or partial refund?
If the matter is not settled within 14 days you will be taking them to the small claims court.
Again no solicitor is needed to do that. You just need the facts and know your 100% in the right.
Not making too many or unrealistic demands.
Do they have any defence?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

How did you pay? By card? Debit or credit card?
What is the amount?
What service?
Who did you pay? A business?0 -
So basically its a bit difficult to explain. I will try though.
I paid someone a lot of money for a 12 month mentoring programme in the field of property.
Only to find out 3 months into it that's its a scam and basically what was being asked of me was illeagal and I do not want any part of it.
I have asked for my money back but the person is being difficult.
They have a very prominent on-line presence, with several websites etc.0 -
Its all right wanting to get your money back but it depends if they actually have the money to pay you back. Good luck with tryig to get it back.0

Looking at this comment first, in which way did you not receive the mentoring? Or are you saying you didn't like the course?0 -

Are we talking about some kind of tax avoidance?
Are you saying the whole premise of the course is based on illegal activity?0
