Leaving HL without transfer charges

II have received my transfer request, but heard nothing from HL one week on.
I'm still trading on HL - but wondering if I should stop (unless something drastic happens) to ease the transfer process.
Any thoughts/experience?0 -
Chase H-L, my experience tells me that it may be them causing delays.
Logically, it would seem best to freeze transactions with H-L because they have to fix the charge and contact the fund houses. I would think that once they have done that it's go to complicate things if you change the mix ... but that's just my feeling, I don't know how it works.0 -
one week on.
I initiated a transfer a month or so ago and it has still not taken place - on enquiry a few days back I was advised that
"For your transfer we have created the Stock Transfer Forms and are currently in the process of ensuring they are double checked, signed by two authorised signatories and forwarded to the individual fund managers. This should be done in the next few working days and we will then await the confirmation of the transfer from the fund managers. Once received we will remove the units from your account and the transfer will be complete."0 -
Mr Hargreaves and Mr Lansdown are the authorised signatories and they are a bit busy counting their money. Sorry.0

Made me smile! I imagined them in raincoats with Investment Times as fig leaves! They are offering over next 24 hours upto £1000 cash when you transfer in from other providers.
They're spreading their hoard about a bit!:rotfl:
I joke, but in truth I'm an old softy and am reluctant to leave my first love.......but filthy lucre has triumphed.....:)0 -
But when your first love has not only tried to run off with your money in increased charges but also cheated on you with obscure exit charges then it's not just the filthy lucre that is behind many people's reason to move.0
