Incidentally, don't expect the mail to stop. You are on their database and there you will remain.

That can't be right - You should never need to use your own envelopes and stamps ;) Just think of all the money you are saving having moved away from HL.

Now up to 14 weeks and counting...

HL and III said my fund account transfer had completed, but one fund was still missing. Fortunately I'd taken a screenshot of the HL account summary page beforehand, and have been able to give this to III, and HL have now admitted they made a mistake and are providing a fresh valuation.

So make sure you take screenshots of your HL account pages before everything vanishes into limbo!

Absolutely almost the same exact circumstances as with me, this is my 15th week - II are as bad as HL I'm finding, I've had 3 funds in limbo - one HL sent to II in March & II were at fault as they lost it, that's showing now thankfully. The other 2, HL are at fault, they'd forgotten to send the re-registration forms off to the fund managers.
Anyway, it gets worse, I've had an official complaint sitting with II since April & on the 13th May I had a secure message saying my transfer was complete, I told them it wasn't & pointed out about the 2 funds & they apologised & said "their transfer team was doing all it could & would report back in 2 to 3 weeks" - usual old excuse - then today, I get an official letter in the post from II dated 17th May saying the transfer is complete - what utter rubbish, the guy obviously hadn't read any of the correspondence in the secure messages as he was contradicting half of what his Customer Support were telling me. Such a mess, I shan't ever transfer again. RDR - just a shambles in my opinion

I've had a letter and final valuation closing my fund and share acc today, they have sent the cheque to II apparently. II have been attentive, I sent them my list of what was in the ISA and what wasn't, and they do appear to be using it now - three funds moved into ISA this week :T

Mine doesn't seem as bad as some of your experiences, II confirmed they had received my transfer forms on 7th April, and although I'm not out of the woods yet, it's not looking too bad. 3 funds are still in my HL ISA with some cash (which I gather goes last) and still around half the value is orbiting looking for a place to land.

    It's nearly June...

H&L came back and confirmed that their offer was one or the other, either 0.25% or no exit fees, I couldn't take advantage of both

For my wife's SIPP with not so much in it, it was definitely the cheapest. For my SIPP with a bit more in it, iWeb and II was about the same, but had setup charges that wouldn't be clawed back over time.

ISA's were about £70/yr cheaper with iWeb, but I had most of my investments in my SIPP, so would have ended up paying that in fees to transfer SIPP.

Also thought that I can always easily start a new S&S ISA for any new money investing, excepting their offer is just tying up existing money with H&L.

I asked about potential changes to offer and the guy said that they are unlikely to make a profit at that rate in the short term, so he imagines they are thinking of retaining me long term to have any hope of making a profit. If their idea is retaining customers, then changing the offer in the short term would backfire on them.

One final reason I stayed, was I simply didn't have the time or energy right now to sort out moving!

I started my transfers in February, fully expecting them to be complete before the new HL account closure fees are introduced in June. HL have agreed to waive my exit fees but my HL ISA is still showing a fund, despite the transfer being complete weeks ago and my HL SIPP has yet to even start making a move. So, does anyone know where I will stand with regard to account closure fees?
