London 2012 dodgy tickets sites were taken down for the exact reason - misleading. As I said earlier, enforcement was easy.
To be exact: this is the wordings used by the judge, search-n-nourish yourself if you do not believe me::rotfl:
ASA has already issued a few cases for misleading.
PS: These ticketing site also had legal "disclaimers" stating they are not affiliated with Olympic Assosiation or do not represent official ticketing sales.
Anyone here to bet, how long these "legal" copycats would stay?
I would say a maximum of 12 months, :T
Telling lies does not strengthen your argument - you do understand that? If you don't you've lost.0 -

I see. So you don't believe me when I say they mislead. I have to post this link, righto ? Here you go...

So by your logic, if they had said in bold font on the front page 'THIS IS AN ILLEGAL OLYMPIC TICKET SITE' they wouldn't have been taken down? They were only taken down because they didn't say that?
Interesting.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Selling dodgy tickets isn't the same thing.
Your choice of words (and those you make up) does not help your posts; your words and meanings are as woolly as the websites you purport to despise. It's not my words - it was trading standards, the enforcement authority who shut down dodgy London2012 ticket sellers. You could check that for yourself.
In one I addressed the issue that selling dodgy tickets isn't the same thing (as offering a service).
In the second I criticised your 'muddled' use of language.
They were two SEPARATE, DISTINCT points. If the two had been connected they would not have been in separate paragraphs.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Did you even read the website that you linked to?
Yes, they mislead customers, but this wasn't why they were prosecuted and closed down. The OFT has taken Court action to stop a number of Norway based companies run by Andreas Gyrre from offering tickets for the London Olympic Games, when in fact they are not authorised to sell those tickets
...
The OFT has also recently taken informal action against 236 other websites, operated by other traders, which were similarly offering Olympic tickets for sale, without being authorised to do so, to prevent consumers from continuing to be misled by them.

The only misleading going on was due to the fact that the sellers concerned did not inform their customers that the tickets they were buying came from an unauthorised supplier and hence might not be valid, but this is not the reason they were closed down.

So again hpuse you post a link to something that has no relation to your original post.
All smoke and mirrors with you. You cant find anything to substantiate your claims, you go and find something else and spout that and even then cant get that right.
Can I ask a couple of questions?
1. Where were you born?
2. What is your day to day job?0 -
To further add to shaun, this was in relating to websites owned by Norweigan companies, the ones that run all these passport, driving licence sevices sites are all UK based.

That is the exactly what these dodgy copycat government websites are doing.
They are "legally" misleading where as london2012 dodgy websites illegally mislead.
Does that make any difference? Would you still like to deny that as a fact?0 -
