    Thanks INOD :D

Walking home from work, absolutely shattered but have the next 3 days off :D very much needed!

Today was another NSD. Tomorrow definitely won't be as I need to get a birthday present for a friend and the fridge is very empty.

Had a chat with a woman I work with today regarding finances. It really reinforced why I need to have a proper emergency fund - if I couldn't work for whatever reason, we would be screwed. The problem is by the time all the household bills and debt are paid plus some money to have a bit of a life, there's not much left to save. Need to have a proper think about ways in which I can save more.
    Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500  1.8.25 - £106,362.86
    Mortgage overpayment savings - £2.11/£50
Mortgage overpayments so far - £675.98
  • Once you get that last debt paid, the savings will come.

I know, it just seems really far away at the moment.

I planned to go for a run today but it rained pretty much all day so didn't bother. Looks a bit better tomorrow so will go then.

I took a walk over to Aldi and spent £23.79. There is now £8.34 left in the food budget with 13 days of the month to go :o

I also bought my friend a birthday present (£11) and posted it (£3.40). Didn't do much else today other than clean the flat and watch films with OH.

I paid £1.35 to the debt taking me to 38.9% paid :D

I ran 10k in just over an hour yesterday so hoping to bring that under an hour at the event next weekend.

I picked up a bit of last minute overtime yesterday but it was to go to a football match with one of the guys so fun overtime :)

Yesterday was a NSD and today should be as well. No real plans for today other than relaxing. Looks like it's going to be quite a nice day so may sit out in the garden later.

Spent £30.99 at the supermarket yesterday so budget is blown, however I did get 2 big boxes of my fave washing tabs as they were on special offer. Will save me buying for a good while. Took money from the electricity bill fund to pay for it.

The electricity bill is through but will need to wait until payday to pay it. Most of the money is saved for it, I just need to replace the money I borrowed from that fund.

I have finally finished my qualification at work which means a pay rise from next month :T:T

Congrats on getting the qualification - and whoopee for the payrise!

You are doing so well, almost down to £1400, am cheering you on from the sidelines.
