misstara I haven't been on for a while but I'm all caught up. :j Honestly you are the main reason I'm still coming here. I'm so looking forward to the day that you make the final payment to your debt so that we can all celebrate with you! You have worked so hard, and have been and still are so meticulous with keeping track of every penny, it really is admirable.

Keep going, you are so so close now, I want to send you 15p to get you over into the 200s!!

I will try and pop in more often as I would be gutted if I missed your DFD!

Hi AleMrsT good to see you :) thanks for your lovely post. I actually paid £7.34 to the debt today so the original debt is now in the 200s :T. My plan is to try and pay off the original debt by my birthday in May and the new flat debt by the end of the year.

I had a day off work today. Went to the doctors this morning and have been advised to give up dairy for a month to see if it helps me. Popped to the supermarket to get dairy free stuff and spent £13.40 on that and some veg. Also bought some net curtains for the bedroom and some more gardening stuff - £16.22 spent.

    Hiya misst :)

A few wee tips about dairy free from a vegan wannabe (:D)...alpro soya milk is the only one that doesn't curdle in coffee, the cheaper ones are good for everything else, vegan cheese is dreadful and a waste of time, don't even bother, and some ordinary spreads like vitalite are dairy free instead of butter.

Jelly tots, skittles and fry's chocolate cream, all dairy free.

    Hope that helps!

    :)

monz - I'm ok, just fed up of feeling rubbish :( not feeling any better yet but hoping I will soon.

ani - amazing thank you for the tips. I don't take milk in coffee so not an issue there. I got vitalite yesterday and alpro yoghurts which taste ok. I bought lactofree cheese which also tastes ok. Didn't realise frys chocolate cream was dairy free so will definitely be buying some.

A NSD today :) had a super busy day at work, so happy to be on a late tomorrow. Looking forward to a lie in. OH took himself off to bed early so curled up on the sofa and watched a film. Heading off to bed now.

My lie in lasted until 7.15am but at least better than usual 6am get up. I've made pasta salad to take with me for tea tonight at work and I made enough for lunch tomorrow too. I also made a gf df banana loaf which tasted lovely. Today will be a NSD.

Got paid today from 2nd job - £81.66 but will put it all in the general household budget for the time being and see how I go before making more debt repayments.

2nd job cancelled my shift for Sunday  so am down about £60 unless I manage to pick up something else. Will need to be really careful with money for the rest of the month I think. Nothing planned for this weekend. Got a meal out with the girls this week so need to suggest somewhere cheap that does gluten free/dairy free options. Not a clue about this so will need to do some research tomorrow. Then the wedding is next weekend and also Mother's Day.

I've got a day off tomorrow so planning to meet my gran for a coffee, go to the supermarket and then watch the rugby.

Hi Scott, hope you've enjoyed catching up on the rugby today. I watched the 1st two but then got distracted by other stuff so will watch England-Ireland tonight. Currently avoiding all papers, TV and radio as I don't want to know the score before I watch it.

Spends for yesterday are £4.60 on coffee with my gran and £18.57 in the supermarket. Today will be a NSD :)

2nd job phoned yesterday so I got another shift for today :). I've just finished it and my feet are killing. Really need to get new work trainers, think I will save and get decent ones instead of the usual £10 ones I get.
