Forgot to say in my post yesterday that I had transferred the money for the hen weekend. I still have 50.00 left in this fund so that will cover my travel tickets. I just need to save a bit over next couple of weeks to cover drinks, food and any extras.
I also made a 2.63 payment to cc1. Looking forward to getting my monthly pay on Friday so I can make some bigger payments to the cards. Once I make these payments, my debt will be under 9750
So the plan for today is to go to the gym (I have a class booked at 9am), buy my mum a present for Mother's day and then pop round to my grans to spend some time with her and my dad again. I will then come home for tea and get ready to go out. I have set myself a 15.00 budget for the night out, however, hoping to spend a lot less.
Tomorrow, me and OH are planning to go out to a nearby village, they have a farmers market there on a Sunday which is apparently very good. So we thought we would go out, have a wander round and get some lunch. It's all budgeted for already from our 'date night' money. Obviously its weather dependent but if it's like this tomorrow, we'll be fine.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Woke up this morning stiff and sore from yesterdays gym class. It was really hard work but was good so I've booked myself onto another one on tuesday.
I came in under budget for the mother's day gift. I got some fancy teabags that my mum likes and some biscuits as well as a card and spent £8.75.
I had a fab night out with the girls and spent £11.50 so under budget for that too. Since it was a saturday night, I got properly glammed up which was fun.
It looks to be a fairly nice day here so me and OH are just away to get ourselves organised to go.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Came back with very little change from 30.00 from our outing yesterday but had a fab day out. The bus tickets were 15.00 and the rest went mostly on food. We had a cup of tea each at the market as it had a little cafe there. It was fun looking around the market but there wasn't actually much either of us wanted to buy. We then walked to the next town which is a couple of miles away and had lunch in a cafe there. Bought a paper so spent quite a bit of time in the cafe reading and people watching. Then went for a little wander round and caught the bus back.
After a bit of discussion, we have decided to book some tickets to see an orchestra as part of our 'date night' money for next month. The tickets are around 10.00 each and then will use the rest of the money to go to the cinema as we already have one free ticket.
I checked online last night when my library books were due back as I couldn't mind to find out that they were due back over a week ago. 90p fine per book so I now owe the library 8.10  so annoyed at myself as this is just from being unorganised. I will need to wait until Friday to pay this unless I can shave a lot off the food budget this week which I don't think will happen as we need quite a bit. I will start putting the date my books are due back into my diary so I don't forget.
I'm heading round to my gran's again today. She is going to give me her sewing machine as she no longer uses it so today she is going to give me a lesson on how to use it. The last time I used a sewing machine was at high school so a wee while ago! Not entirely sure where I'm going to put it as we don't have a lot of room in the flat but will make space for it somewhere. Thankfully I don't have to carry it home, my aunt said she would drop it off later on in the week.
Me and OH sat down last night and made a menu plan for the week. Planning to go to A*di later on to get everything. Feels like ages since we've done a big shop so as said previously we need quite a lot.
16.99 direct debit went out today for my gym membership. Just waiting for the phone bill one to go out tomorrow and that will be the end of the direct debits for the month. I have made a 2.01 payment to cc1 today as well.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Back from my grans with the sewing machine. My uncle popped round while I was there so got a lift home
Need to get some more thread so will possibly have a wee look around town tomorrow. My gran also gave me some old material to practice my stitches on.
I got my payslip through today for my monthly job so will have to sit down and make a budget. Unfortunately I'd forgotten that I didn't do any overtime so my wage is about 130.00 less than I got last month. Even though I will also get paid from weekly job on Friday, I think things will be a bit tight especially with the council tax starting again this month.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Hi misstara
Newbie to the forum just popping in to say hello and to offer a few words of support.
I think you're doing a great job of sorting your finances. I was in a similar financial position to you in the few years after I graduated and it took me a while to sort my debts out but I did get there eventually and if you keep at is as you are doing, you will get there too. It is a great feeling knowing you did it all yourself.
Anyway, decided to sign up to the forum and I'm off to work out where I'm best putting my diary. Reading these diaries has inspired me to think about whether I can make a few changes0 -

Thanks for your support lilysaves and congratulations on becoming debt free :T I cannot wait until I'm in the same position!
Good luck with your diary - it took me years of lurking before I plucked up the courage to post my own but it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I find it really keeps me on track with my budgeting and my debt is slowly but surely coming down.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Spent 18.62 in A*di yesterday so under budget. May need more milk and bread later on in the week but that should be it.
I was starting to feel a bit rubbish last night and have woken up today with a really sore throat. I have absolutely no energy and all my muscles feel like jelly as well so have cancelled my gym class tonight. Probably not a good idea to go like this.
So annoying - I always seem to get ill when I'm off on holiday. Have sent OH out to get paracetamol and throat sweets and am planning to have a duvet day. Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow.
16.00 direct debit went out today for my phone bill so that's it for the month. My phone seems to be playing up a bit sometimes but am hoping that it holds on for a good while longer as I can't afford to buy another one and I don't want to go back onto an expensive contract.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Spends for today were 1.04 on paracetamol and throat sweets and 1.79 on a lemon and a jar of honey. Have spent most of the day lying on the sofa dosed up on all of the above.
Had a wee bit more energy this afternoon so had a tidy round the living room and made space for the sewing machine. I also made some lentil soup to have for tea. Have put by a bowl to have tomorrow for lunch and have put 3 portions in the freezer to have at a later date.
Off to bed fairly soon as still not feeling great. Plan to have a bit of a lie-in tomorrow and then another relaxed day.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86
