The letter said 200 i was amazed too. If anyone from the jc ìs reading this will they have to print all the proof out .

yes because how can you defend yourself against a claim.

You need to see each one, I bet most of them are agents, self employed etc etc, probably loads of reasons why they were not suitable.

I feel for you, hop you get this sorted and behind you soon.

It must be a miss type at their end but hopefully you can use that to defend your case :) I can't see how they can find that many jobs that match up to your jsag what advisor would spend the time finding all them when less than a quarter of that number would still be enough to put forward for sanction.

good to know, the only thing I can see on the signing paper, is my other signatures, no other writing, as you say they must cover that part up then, I have been signing on for a year now and must have only been asked the question "have I done any work in the last 2 weeks" 3 times, normally it's "how is it going" that could be down to the fact I see myself as reasonably presented and trying to get work, so they may see that too so don't give me the full treatment? in the jobcentre is not too bad but som eof the sights on the work programme are shocking, the stuff some people think it's acceptable to ware, one girl I saw had a face the colour of a satsuma, it was jaw dropping and another I saw was wearing ripped black fish net stocking and a pair of mini shorts, again I kid you not, she looked like she just popped in from servicing a client, sorry to be crude but it was that bad, yet I'm the one feeling the pressure, these people seem to sale through the system untouched?

Regarding the fund they have, I have asked twice now for help and both times was flatly told there was none, once asking for help with a bus ticket for an interview, as I had already paid for one extra bus fare that week for an interview, so I was short of money, was told no help unless it's more than 1 hour 30 away on public transport, a daft rule as £3.50 for one fare is still a lot of money.
As I have just got a job, I asked is there any help as i have to work a month before I get paid and also buy a travel ticket as the job is a 2 hour round trip a day, and also some uniform as only half the uniform is provided, I was told no again, no help at all she said, not that there was a budget etc but just a no sorry there is no help!

God knows how the likes of the people on Benefit Street manage to play the system as I sure have not been able to get any more than the most basic help and I consider myself pretty with it.

I noticed you mentioned work programme, and if this is so the we provider is responsible for removing barriers into work, up there we have ingeus and advantage. Ingeus I know from feedback are amazing for buying uniforms and contributing to travel but again they have a 'pot' so I believe they will have their own set of criteria.

I would definitely ask them and see if there is anything if you have very recently signed off as I don't know what their cut offs are they're a private company. And for future reference I'm pretty sure interviews need to be requested in advance but paid and proven once you've been, e.g. Keep tickets etc. or rail warrants can be given in advance

Hopefully you won't need to ask them for anything ever again,, good luck :j

You can request to see any referral documentation that was sent, it will show every job whether 20 or 200 in a list.

My guess I they done a search 200 came up but there is a % column and unless your 100% matched they don't apply to you.

I'd speak to the jcp manager when requesting documentation and request to show how the jobs are definitively matching of your JSAG, from everything to distance, hours, soc code (job code 4 digits like 4150 for admin).

Any discrepancies means it's not matching and not acceptable for a disallowance, if you've just been disallowed ask for a recon and state the reasons why, literally start your letter I wish to ask for a RECONSIDERATION because.... If not they'll 9 times out of 10 automatically send it down appeal and can take a while,

Dependant on outcome of reconsideration, you can then appeal and go down that route.

But you are definietely within your rights to see the documentation, and did you sign your declarations if you did they shouldn't be disallowing you, it's in their own guidance to do that last once they are happy.... Obv they weren't but if they let you sign then they shouldn't have referred you.

200 jobs seems very unreasonable, if that's right - how can there be that many available, in one go, within reasonable distance, and which you could do?

They could certainly be asked to prove that all these jobs were a reasonable task for you to perform, because it doesn't appear that way.

I would request an appointment with the manager, or take the letter to the CAB, or welfare rights and ask them to help you.

I cannot understand why she would think you could apply for 200 jobs?

How long did she give you to do this?

Were all these jobs within normal skill range, and reasonable travelling time?

    Lin :)

remember too they would have to have allowed a fair about of time for you to apply for these jobs, check the dates on the oldest one.

I'm not sure how these things work but deffo worth fighting it as they could back down if the adviser has not listed correctly what they are accusing you of, sound to me they have just said you could have applied for 200 jobs, but have not listed what those jobs were so you can not show why they could have been unsuitable...but remember they only have to find one job you could have went for and didn't to sanction you, it's so unfair the system...guess what I'm saying is don't get your hopes up to much and try and get in place some other help in case the money doesn't get paid, such as food banks and friends and family and hardship payments.
