you need to edit your name from the above post (twice)
address it to S Clark not yourself (top row) in your notepad draft
you should also give him your pcn number and the code that was given to you so he can check it himself, he may ask for copies of emails and the pcn too. he may say it was an oversight due to the change of year, but its quite a mistake to make by JAS
so try to give him the info he needs to look into it for you - yes
dont post your personal info on here, we have told you this many times already

Here is a draft of my POPLA appeal
APPEAL RE: PPC Name CHARGE ******/******,*********
CAR PARK **/**/2013, VEHICLE REG: **** ***
I am the registered Keeper of the above vehicle and I am appealing against above charge. I contend that I am not liable for the parking charge on the following grounds and would ask that they are all considered.
1 I was in B&M at the time the ticket was issued and has a receipt to prove so
2 It says in your email the car park is for B&M customers’ only again i have a receipt
3 You say in your email the sign says “vehicle left in car park before or after using either premises” I have a receipt with the time the time and date
4 the car was park for 30 minutes and you are charging the keeper £56.40 for shopping in B&M so it is not a genuine pre-estimate of loss0 -
that is an appeal to jas, NOT popla
here is an example of a popla appeal
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816165
here is a specialised one which is about a different place and a different parking company
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=64393064&postcount=20
do not copy and paste this either, but compare it as a popla appeal against what you wrote , see how its worded and has legal terms and applies specifically to the place and car parking company
your needs to be similar but worded about your Staples car park, B&M and your PPC which is JAS (ie:- not the peel centre and not excel)0 -
Does it have to be so long winded as they have only made 3 points why they put a ticket on .One of which says you can use the car park before or after. Our sign boards clearly state below.
· Vehicle left in the car park before or after using either premises.
As i have a receipt its proof of use .I'm not trying to be funny or anything i am grateful of your help but i can not get my head around how much information to put in.
As you say do not just paste but i am not sure which put is reinvent.0 -
basically , FORGET what happened and make a draft appeal to popla based on legal terms , not mitigation
popla do not accept appeals based on mitigation and it clearly says so on their website
thats not to say you wont add the details in your popla appeal , but the 3 main reasons of appeal are poor signage, not a genuine pre-estimate of loss, and no contract
you will certainly lose if you appeal based on your "story" or the fact that you broke the terms and conditions of parking (you went off site and they clearly forbid it)
this is why they are so long and have all that detail in, as can be seen in the 2 examples I linked you to
so what I am saying is you will lose at popla if you send anything in that you have posted on here so far
I assumed you wanted to win this and pay nothing at all, that is the reason most people come on here, they are annoyed at what happened and dont want to pay silly extra charges due to some "silly rules"
when you have drafted a suitable appeal (in notepad), post it on here for checking, but with the personal info xxxxxxxx out , no names , no references , no vehicle reg number
you may then find that another member will alter it or make suggestions to you, once finalised it can go to popla when you get a valid code0 -
I have http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/....php?t=4816165 three times or more and only see that there are 2 points ( 1,4,) are reinvent,
so i number my points then break down each point is that right.I can not get back for a while as i off to work now, like I say I am not try to be funny just not sure how to do this as i have ever do anything like this before and not sure on the legal terms you speak of ,hope you don't lose heart and stay with me till the end !!0 -
my advice is stop arguing and get it done, you have no idea if points 2) and 3) are valid or not
you have no idea if there is a valid and legal landowner contract in place , neither have you any idea if the signage meets the BPA code of practice
so you put everything in and try to win on any point, doesnt matter which one you win on but all 4 need to be in there0 -
PLEASE deal with post #39 before worrying about POPLA !!!!!
The steps are easy :
1. Demand a correct POPLA code from JAS ( I've given you wording for this )
2. WAIT
3. Write a POPLA appeal using the "EXAMPLES" on this forum

Did you miss my post to you earlier? I am concerned you are ONLY putting the delay back into the hands of JAS - now ''what's in it for them'' to respond to you, at all, unless you also complain to the BPA?Coupon-mad wrote: »Why don't you just send a POPLA form downloaded from the BPA website, draft an appeal and show us first, and then post it with that code on it? You could just put a covering letter saying the code doesn't work online as you think JAS has put 2015 on it instead of 2014 but here is your appeal anyway in good time.
Only show your draft POPLA appeal here, once you have sussed 'How to win at POPLA' which is a simple link in the 'Newbies read this first' FAQs thread already linked above.
Please just draft your POPLA appeal based on the examples in this link:

Show us what you come up with. Be ready to send it by POST.
Meanwhile send a quick email complaint about JAS to the BPA (email address is in the 'Newbies read this first' FAQs thread near the top of this forum, under 'complaints'). As well as the simple complaint to JAS, as already suggested by others. I am just concerned you will be relying on JAS to reply otherwise.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I have emailed JAS this afternoon asking for a new code and emailed BPA about them sending bogus codes.Thank you Redx for sticking with it and again I am very sorry for giving you the hump0
