Roll on the 90% off, there is a ton of gift wrap at my local Boots which I wouldn't even pay 70% off for as that only takes it to 90p! I noticed that Tescos still have loads of Christmas cards and wrap to shift too.

It's unheard of in previous years for there to be anything left in Boots this far after the sale....hmmm....

    CU all next year !
Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!

Went in to collect my Thursday am order, and the SA said they were having lots of problems with the computer system not recognising the parcels arriving to store (I hadn't had any despatch emails, just kept checking my order history and parcel tracking).

Same here no received at store emails no tracking info online but were actually at the store and all present candles were even bubble wrapped :D I too didn't order anything majorly popular as I got some in the 50% off sale as I knew wouldn't be around and I was happy at the 50% off.

I ordered the circus stuff for my DGD and some royal jelly hand soap for my kitchen, perfume sets and............slippers :D

So we'll chuffed this year and no boots sale for me next year as I hope to be on holiday :j

will it be 90% off this wednesday

Past years if there is anything left, it's always TWO WEEKS after the start of the 75% sale (well ok 70% now).

So if there's anything left to reduce by 90%, you're looking at 29th January.

Yes it's really annoying :-( I did store delivery last year and had no problems. Strangely most of my cancelled items are things like the taylor swift/ kate moss/ beyonce fragrance sets. I had ordered one of each and they were all in stock a day after my order was placed. More annoyingly I was in Glasgow yesterday and they has lots of kate moss sets, I didn't get one because I thought mine was coming

Not ideal perhaps but you could take them out of the boxes and put them in little gift bags, Card Factory usually have some reasonable ones. Or make them up into home made 'crackers' as gift wrapping?

It seems that a group of us stayed up and ordered at 5am wednesday morning. Those who opted for store delivery had all items despatched. Those who opted for home delivery had items cancelled. Very unfair, especially after we pay for delivery on top. What is annoying is that items of mine which they cancelled, have since been available online and people have rec'd those items that they cancelled of mine. The boots sale this year has been well and truely a whole farce for me.

I placed an order Thursday morning (as couldn't be bothered in the weds) and picked it up sat morning......all items there including mark hill, no 7 and the rest

    Very impressed! ;)

I also ordered Thursday morning - obviously there wasn't as much left, but I couldn't get the website to work on Wednesday. All delivered yesterday.

PS Am I the only one amused by the random odds and ends left in the Sale ? Multi pack of "FeelClose" or StayDry pants anyone? :D
  • I picked up my order yesterday (tracking said delivered Friday) and it hadn't even been booked in - there were no texts or delivery emails just the tracking info.. they really must be having some bad technology issues as I've heard a few people complain of this.

However all of my order was in there :) which is good because in the past I've been charged for stuff which haven't been in the box (as in the invoice even said quantity 1 but it wasn't in there), the store sorted it out great but the website service is not acceptable.

Oh this is good. I've just had an enlightening chat with boots online. Apparently my £70 order was damaged in transit and I have been refunded. My entire order was apparently damaged.

  • Well reading all these comments it looks as though Boots have surpassed themselves this year. I went to my local store on my way to work and got a few bits. Glad I didn't attempt to order online as most people have been disappointed.
I have to say I find Boots website useless at the best of times for the sale/offer items. They are always listed but never in stock when you attempt to put them in your basket. It annoys me that they even appear on the list as out of stock. I'd prefer it if they just disappeared from the list altogether until they are back in stock.
AND they've stopped you from using £5 No7 skincare voucher on the BB cream & bronzers!!!!!
That's me on my soapbox for the rest of the day.
