Oh lord Mum2one.....hope that gets sorted quickly for you..!

I can't believe a woman had to get permission from the husband for contraception..!!!...that's shocking really isn't it. What year would that have happened??..(apologies if I missed date for this)

Well, I fell asleep after the excitement of sparky coming and having been awake for hours...so now wide awake again. if i'm still awake in a few hours, might go to Asda at stupid o'clock and get the food shopping in for Sat.

In an attempt to make house look tidier when the blokes came I shut door to Barbie room.(where cat litter is)...forgot about it, and Asbo has poo'd in the bath....lovely...better than a carpet though as easily washed away.

Well i'm hungry now so off to find something to eat, only had a bacon sarnie so far today.
Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.

MTSTM, I was just thinking yesterday, after seeing some lads and a couple of girls in school uniform, who were eyeing each other, and thought, there should be a lull in education, a bit like a gap year after uni, except longer, where youngsters get "it" out of their system, boys/girls whatever...not let them make major decisions based on hormones, and then go back to education when they've calmed down/got through puberty! :rotfl:We expect them to make major, life changing decisions when their bodies and minds are going through immense change.

Rumspringa in other words. That's what the Amish do with their youngsters. They all "go mad" in the outside world for a spell and then decide to either stay in the outside world or go back to their roots. I understand most of them go back to their roots subsequently (with the odd exception like that girl recently seen modelling underwear).

Some take longer than others to get it out of their system and I wonder whether that might have anything to do with how large and/or urban (as opposed to rural) area they are in. This being down to rather more "choices" available in a larger and urban area.

MTSTM, and there's me thinking I had an original thought:rotfl:

Thinking about it, I recall hearing about the Amish.

I've lost one of my bunny charges , she escaped shortly after putting her in her outdoor run...well, 2 did, but the male surrendered quite quickly. She is known for escaping, but this is on my watch :( and I'm worried. Anyone have any ideas on how to catch a wily rabbit who can hop in and out of all sorts of hidey holes.

Treats in the run will maybe work - is there anything she really loves to eat?

I have to say the outdoor run can't be up to much, if she keeps escaping!

    Oh heavens....a bunny escape.

If they are very tame and we'll 'played' with sometimes a football (or ball) works if they are used to playing with them...then you can grab them. I had one that I got buy switching the hoover on.....it was an upright and she liked to ride on it so would come out for the hoover....lol.

If the football works...you can then plonk and hold down a big food cover if you have one over the rabbit (the umbrella kind).....gives you that split second to grab the monkey before they are off again.

Failing that try all types of food. They love apple sticks if you have an apple tree. Is she outside or in the house??

    Hope you catch her soon.

    Edit...just re-read and see she's outside.

Also...if they are like my small furries were they know the sound of a plastic bag could mean food...sit outside with a bag of greens or whatever and feed the others it in the run, she may come up to you...depends on of you have more interesting stuff to eat in the garden.

Thanks LB & Calico...I should have checked the little door, it can't have been locked properly, so partly if not all my fault this time...wish I hadn't bothered now. I was just thinking of apples and carrots...she just hops about out of reach and of course if I chase her she hides. If the weather was cold and wet she'd probably come back, but of course it's not today!

She is pretty tame, not sure about a ball...both females are really bolshy, the 3 males are much more co-operative...

will go back shortly and try again...she kicks for England if she doesn't want to be held.

Be careful with the apples - have just read that the pips are poisonous, so apple sticks as Calicocat has mentioned. Also carrot tops (the leafy bit) is what's recommended, and only a little bit of the carrot itself. I'm sure Bugs Bunny used to eat the whole thing!

Good luck with catching her. But if I remember rightly she's done this before, and survived ok. Fingers crossed for this time!

    LB xx

I usually found the females a handful when I ran a pet shop...after my experiences I would never have a rabbit unless had loads of time to train one and keep it happy. The females were often flipping vicious.....

You could try what I do with the Asbo-cat...which is chuck a huge towel over her and grab...that way she can't kick you too much.
