So far work is calmer and better. I think I'd wound myself up so much, I wasn't sleeping or thinking straight.
Oh well, a few minutes here and there gazing at cute animals on that blog never hurt anybody

More cuteness overload:

Things ticking along here. Not bad, not spectacular.
Although choccie eating has well and truly caught up with me - clothes have 'shrunk'!0 -
Oh, and side gate that came down in February that only got put back up again a couple of weeks ago - has once more broken the piece of wood to which the bolt was secured.
This is because the chap who owns upstairs doesn't want to pay for a new gate. I suspect this is going to keep happening.
I've once again phoned HIS letting agents to inform them.
Wonder how long it will take to get repaired this time . . .0 -
Wow your neighbours sound like mine with the fence! DH and I have decided to get a fence ourselves (albeit a cheap one like they have) and put it up in front of the contraption they call a fence. Our dog has never scratched at it like theirs does so i'm assuming we'll be safe with it not being ruined lol. It will also mean that double the bamboo means we can't see each other through it anymore (yay :T )

Work - OK, thanks.
Me - stressing myself out about the house. All going to come to a head in the next week or so. Totally in my control, but I've worked myself into a lather about it all. Typical!0 -
Hi Jat
I get so panicked over jobs in the house, so much so i have to give myself manageable goals.
Have subscribed xxTrying to shift that debt!0 -
Thanks. Its so stupid - I get myself so worked up that I sit there and stare at something that I know needs doing and, once I get to it, probably won't take that long. The longer it sits there, the more worried I become and talk myself into believing I can't do it. Once its done its a case of 'what was all that worrying about'. Until next time.
The one friend I'd usually talk to, I can't - she helped get me this job, so its difficult to discuss it with her. Especially as she was brilliant at the same line of work. I'm just out of practice at certain technical bits. Once I'm back in the swing of things, I hope it will improve.
House - officially embarrassed by people who had to come around and see the state of it. It will improve - but it'll take time.
Good news - garden has been cleared. I'm going to contact the guys who did it (upstairs organised it) and see what regular maintenance costs would be.0 -
Quick update:
Probation has been confirmed. Yeah. Not until I'd worked myself up so much and was convinced that not only was work NOT going to confirm it, I was going to be marched off the premises. For no particular reason, I haven't done anything wrong - its just how my stupid brain behaves. That's really not normal. Talk about stress!
Anyway - job. Slightly better, although I still don't love it. Its not great when the best thing you can say about your job is you don't hate it. Oh well, onwards and upwards.
Money will probably be spent soon - its about time the laptop got replaced. I've had it since 2006. So, that will be budgeted for.
Today I've spent some money - and I don't care. I bought a ceramic 'poppy' - like they're 'planting' at the Tower of London. I went to see them the other day and they look stunning. It won't be delivered until after the display is over (after Remembrance Day), but the order is confirmed.

I've also volunteered to help 'plant' some more. This project has really caught my imagination and I just want to get up close to them. No guarantee my offer of time will be accepted, but I hope so.0
