  • I know. I feel asleep watching telly (nothing new - comfy sofa and I was warm), but woke up around 2.00 a.m. and got back to sleep.

To be honest, the sofa is actually more comfortable than the bed, so I'm usually in the lounge. The few times I've tried the bed lately, I woke up with a sore back. As long as I'm warm, I don't really mind and my sofa is particularly nice. Its old - about 20 years now, its been well worth the not insubstantial amount I paid for it. Feather-filled cushions that I can just sink into and a gentle slope of the arm that supports me at just the 'right' angle - not too high, not lying flat.

Chances are I've spent more nights on the sofa than I have on the bed.
  • Well, I got my accounting project finished yesterday and its now with the appropriate person awaiting authorisation before the deadline. So, I went home feeling it had been a 'good' day.

Had a thought - I'm rather hoping I'll get a tax rebate since I didn't work for all of this tax year.

Better go get ready for work.

  • Things ticking along here. I'm debating a bit of 'investment shopping' at the end of the month. Things I can wear for work, but 'out' if need be. Suits don't tend to fit me these days - if they fit on top, then they're baggy at the waist, etc.

I've seen this on the Pepperberry site and rather like it. I might try their store near Oxford Street tonight - except knowing my luck, it won't be in stock. I never know what size I am in their 'unique' sizing, so can't just order over the web. I quite like it - assuming it doesn't show off all my lumps and bumps.

  • I love pepperberry clothing but can rarely afford it, that dress looks good value :T I have a similar one from there in plain black that I bought for a funeral. I've not worn it since like I thought I would as it reminded me of the funeral and i'd get all upset :o lol not as good value as I thought it would be ;)

They have a sizing guide which I used to buy mine and I also read the reviews as they are usually quite helpful in telling me if it's true to size etc :) xx

  • I agree with you about Pepperberry prices - I usually think they're originally priced way too high. Trouble is, by the time I see them at a 'decent' price, that usually means they don't have the size I need.

I've had bad luck with their sizing in the past. I remember consulting with one of their staff over the phone, telling her my bra size and shape and placing the order. When the items arrived, they still didn't fit, so I had to take them back to the store and reorder. Really frustrating, but what tends to happen with my experience with the company.

Fingers crossed for this evening - assuming I've got the energy to go there after work.
  • Annoyingly, just spent the night without Internet access, but it turns out not for the reason I thought.

I was on a bus around 7.00 PM last night, happily mucking around on the phone. Up pops a screen saying 'you're in a BT wi-fi hotspot', followed by 'are you a BT customer?' I pressed away from the screen and - no internet! So I've spent the evening cursing BT.

However, I'm in the West End and called into the Apple Store (reached them first before I got to a Carphone Warehouse). It turns out that the latest update was released around 7.00pm last night and obviously interfered with my access. Curse them!

I hadn't tried the internet this morning as I knew it would just get me annoyed if it was still off-line. Fingers crossed its still working when I get home. (I've had that before - it works fine when you're in-store, but nothing at home and no broadband there).

Anyway, just remembered I've got to get the guys at Apple to reset my passwords do I can once again download Apps, etc.

And must update the backup. After that, got a nice day planned. Will report back later (Internet access permitting).

    Take care.
  • On the third attempt, I somehow managed to remember the appropriate password so Apps are once again able to be downloaded, should I choose. Back-up is also completed. However, memory space is still limited. Must learn how to transfer 3,000+ photos to Cloud-type storage. Sometime, very soon.

I'd gone up to the West End to try and get a day seat to 'One Man, Two Guv'nors' - and was successful. I thought the ticket was £26, but when I went to pay, I was asked for £12 - I wasn't going to argue. Maybe it's because I'd opted for the matinee show.

So, a few hours to 'kill'. I'd planned to visit the British Museum, but the time at the Apple Store took more time than planned. So, a leisurely snack at John Lewis, picked up some more Teapigs' peppermint tea bags (well worth the money).

Of course, as suspected, still no internet away from the Apple Store wifi access! Even a visit to the local Carphone Warehouse didn't fix it. Once I'd finally remembered to use the 'IT Department' excuse - turn off and turn back on, it's finally working again.

Anyway, the play was very funny, for the most part. And very MSE at £12. It closes in London on March 1 and starts a nationwide tour.

I decided against a meal in town - mainly 'cos my favourite el cheapie Chinese is closed for refurbishment. Instead, home to scoff the chocolate eclairs I'd bought last night when I was peeved about lack of Internet access. (There was some raw spinach involved as well - but not at the same time).

Just catching up on recorded TV.

So, a busy but good day.
