Thanks both. I've added the 0800 number as an alternative for 0845 602 5450 advertised here so that it comes up in a number search as well as company search.0 -
I have called Clydesdale Bank today to see what is going on with my application/enquiry and been told that I need to go into branch with ID.
I presume it's it likely they will ask me the purpose of the account and how I plan to fund it each month? Will they want to see wage slips? The reason I ask is that I'm a student with limited income and the £1000 will be coming from another account rather than from, say, a salary (and going straight back out the next day).
It doesn't seem wise to tell them my intentions so should I make something up or what?0 -
No, lasts for as long as they fancy paying 3%.
Santander 123 is the obvious choice for bills.
When your FlexDirect account finishes, if you change it to a FlexAccount then you'll be eligible to re-upgrade to FlexDirect in a year and get another 5% (assuming they still offer it then).
I was wondering if you had to wait, has anyone tried to reapply after the year?0 -

I don't think the account has been available for 24 months.0 -
Well, Yorkshire sent me documentation with my surname spelt incorrectly so naturally I asked them to correct it.
Rather than send me corrected documentation they sent me an offline application pack which I would have to sit and complete by hand so I thought 'stuff that'
I applied for and got a Lloyds classic account with Vantage and used the account transfer service to move my bills to it in mid March.
All went good but a letter arrived on my doormat yesterday indicating that from July they will pay no interest on amounts up to £1000 a month.
So last night applied for and got a TSB Classic plus account with 5% interest so switching so used the switching service to move everything from Lloyds which will happen on 7 May.Interests: PCs. servers, networks, mobiles and music (esp. trance)0
