You do realise the definition of lazy is not 'not doing what you do'? :rotfl: everyone's circumstances are different! I don't know how you can call someone lazy just for not doing one supposedly moneysaving thing that you choose to do.

I didn't aim it at anyone in particular and note one's use of the word 'some'.

Nevertheless this a money saving website where one would expect to find people prepared to go out of their way to save my money (literally or metaphorically).

I think most people are slightly less judgemental than the OP!

I was going to reply the same as you, but then I thought it was a wind up post, so I didn't bother in the end!

    Your post is rather ironic!

or maybe making better use of their time ?

    Both are debatable :)

I for one, don't shop around multiple stores as a) i have fibromyalgia and it is enough for me to put away my internet delivery shop & b) i don't drive.

I find myself getting very annoyed when people make assumptions about others. I also have resorted to buying ready prepared vegetables for those days when I don't have the strength to hold a vegetable peeler.

You may call me lazy, but I call myself adaptable and realistic.

Absolutely, but lots of people on this thread have actually explained that going to lots of different supermarkets would cost them more money than it would save. Therefore their choice not to do so is not lazy, but sensible! Furthermore, there are myriad ways in which people can save money. Very few people do every single one. I bet you don't. Does that make you lazy?

This is a money saving site, but it doesn't mean that people have to let it take over their lives, and do things that they don't want to do.

Everyone has their own aims and requirements for using this site, and their own limits relating to what they are willing to do.

Sometimes on this site I've seen the money saving taken to obsessional levels, with bizarre / unethical / border line illegal behaviour justified by people sayiing 'we'll it is a money saving site'. It can be taken too far.

I'm here to live a comfortable life, both now and after retirement. I'm not comfortable in trawling in person round all the supermarkets, so I won't be doing that.

But there may be things I do that you wouldn't do, and I wouldn't expect you to do thing you didn't want to do.

But it doesn't make either of us 'bad MSE-ers'. We're just different that's all

I sympathise with your situation however I didn't call YOU lazy! No need to jump to assumptions about others making assumptions!

Life is stressful enough without taking everything personally!

Exactly. There was a thread on here a few days ago about 'What OS dont' /won't you do' I think very few people have the time or inclination to do every single thing recommended on this forum to save money.

Fwiw I spend a large part of my day searching various sites looking for bargains, BUT this is whilst doing other things (cooking, watching TV, being at work  ) I have a good idea where I can buy my regular groceries the cheapest, but do not wish to spend hours of MY free time trawling different stores just incase there's the odd YS bargain, if I'm passing then maybe I'll pop in, but I don't treat it as a job.
