My DMP Journey...

Tuesday 13th of May
So, these new stretches I was given last week do seem to be helping... I don't want to jinx myself but I do feel looser AND (drum roll please! Drrrrrmmmmmmm) I touched my toes!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sadly getting back up was more effort than getting down LOL but it was worth it
The worry I have is that I'm going to see the Occupational Health person before the Orthopaedic specialistI know it won't happen like this but I have images of OH seeing me without the problems I've been having and saying I'm fit to work now when it's only been a couple of days... It'll be fine I'm sure but I'm paranoid about being classed as a slacker LOL
Anyway, enough of that... What will be will be
Laters folks!

Glad it's helping. And changed my mind about the song writing, lol

Thursday 15th of May
It's Occupational Health day today! I have a face to face visit lined up and can't wait (lol) although I do want it to be over and done with as I'm feeling quite apprehensive about the whole thing, not that I have anything to hide... I'm just over thinking it...
Oh well, a few hours and it'll be done and dusted but I'm not looking forward to the taxi ride....

So.... Just short of £25 in taxi fares and a couple of hours spent being uncomfortable and the Occ Health chap said "you're not fit to do any type of work".
Gulp, that's not what I was expecting... At least he reports back to HR and he is making the recommendation that they perhaps fund some private treatment
Keep taking the pain killers, take more exercise (even if it does hurt) and try to get some normality back into my life as I wait for my MRI.
He couldn't guess at timescales but suggested that relying on the NHS could mean another 3-4 months more...
Bottom line is, it hurts sitting, walking and standing in one place so there is a chance of injury whatever I'm doing

WAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! It's all lovely and sunny outside and Monkeyballs wanna go play!!!!!! WAHHHHH!!!! LOL
Hi folks, thanks for the kind wordsfingers crossed something good will come out of the Occ Health visit and I get a scan soon
the good news is that while my back is 'nacked my brain is still fine and dandy (if a little sloooooooow at times lol).
So, the sun is here and being a strapping young(ish), single man I want to do what every guy wants to do in the sunthat'd be perv on the pretty ladies in their summer wear LOL oh and gambol in the fields and chase butterflies and other shiz
seriously tho I'd settle for a sit down in a beer garden with a pint of Guinness
Alas, today I will probably just stumble along into town early to avoid the inevitable crowds and then come back home but I may well venture into the back yard and see if I can do anything with those weeds... All this recent rain means they've become trees almost overnight and while I live in a shared house, nobody else is interestedall the more for me eh
Finances? Well, I got the cheque for SC back and after taxi fares I'm now down to my last £40 but that's great as it means I have ample for a food shop and I get paid in just over a weeks time so I get to chat with those lovely folks at SC again to agree a new budget
I'm fair set on keeping it as low as I can to build up my emergency fund again and keeping it low for a few months after I eventually return to work and get back on full pay as well... I know it'll add to my DFD but in my head the emergency fund could go one of two ways;
1. I save a grand in a pot for the next time my back goes (I'm a realist, if it goes once it can go again).
2. I save a couple of grand and keep £500 for emergencies and try to use the rest to make an F&F on one of my larger debts to try and save a few more shillings and bring my DFD back on trackcunning eh?
I'm sort of leaning towards the latter because it gives me the best of both worlds but am conscious that for the next couple of years any illness will mean that my sick pay is paid at 75% and I may need to make up that short fall along the way (depending on my length of absence obviously).
There is a third scenario which would be good... I've recently made a formal complaint to the Cheque Centre regarding the loans I took out and the way in which they "helped me" when I eventually put my hands up and told them I was gambling and needed help. If by some miracle I was awarded the charges paid to them then that would be up to about £7k which would wipe a massive chunk of my debt out!!!!! Although that would be a dream and I'm not holding my breath LOL, it'd be like winning the lottery
Anyway, I'm stinking and need a shower and those pretty girls ain't gonna get perved over on their ownlaters folk!

Stick with the perving, I'm not sure gardening would be good for your backMortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 11st 12lb determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. I just got back, the problem with perving is that it really makes you realise how old you are LOL makes me wanna cry
Also, I think gardening is a none starter... I was struggling with carrying a bag of Haribo LOL I don't think it'll stretch to weeding...
