Firstly, if anyone is willing to risk the possibility of receiving bad feedback in return, the computer parts seller reported previously http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=67857&item=6719383267&rd=1 has feedback of 98.1%. If this were to be reduced a couple of notches they would slip below the 98% necessary to remain a powerseller!

sorry but this isn't really what this campaign is about. It is about removing links and pyrmaid schemes from eBay.

To be honest to it would be better if you posted a link so we can directly get to the list of items that user has for sale!

    Thanks,

Are you sick of bidding on an item on eBay only to find out its a link?

Are you tired of trying to find a good item only to be swampped by items which are links?

    Then join my campaign!

I think this is a pointless thread. I have used ebay to buy and sell numerous times with no problems. The scams are easy to spot. Ebay do their best to remove obvious scams but with millions of items listed it can never come close to being perfect.

Buyer beware, maybe it's not an appropriate site for those who rant about it continually. They should stick to local markets where they can see what they are getting!!

Sorry old bean, but I have to disagree, so many people are innocents abroad they dont realise what is happening. Ok so they should read the thing fully and check feedback etc, but unless and until you get stung, many people don't realise how important that is. Examples recently, I emailed half a dozen newbies who were bidding for an empty box, bids were up to £45. The item heading said "Nintendo Donkey Konga Bong Drums" only by reading the very small print, and there was lots of it, did it become apparent it was for an empty box!! What is more, you could buy the same item for £36.99 in the shops. I had a couple of replies from very grateful folks, but you can't do that all the time, so a general clean up of Ebay can only be a good thing. (IMHO)
