Hi roaring, thanks for stopping by.
Had some good news, hubby has had approx a pay rise that is equivalent to my pay cut so overall we are about the same.
My mum has paid some more of what she borrowed which will go towards the overpayment for February.House purchased November 2013

£990 overpayment made today followed by the Trelfa Twist
Have a bit of a decision to make. My manager at work has handed her notice in this week. Mainly because her husband is very ill and wanted to spend the foreseeable future making memories with him, but also because of what's happened recently I.e. bonus among other things that I don't want to mention on here. Yesterday my hubby informed me of a job vacancy at his work (completely different department, he works as a software developer and I'm in finance). It could potentially be a small pay cut but we would be much better off as its closer than where I currently work and also I would car share with the hubby. I am trying to think of it as a sideways move with career progression but I was wondering what people think?House purchased November 2013

Sounds to me like you already think it's a good move. I wouldn't worry about a side step as us may well invigorate you etc...MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0

No harm in applying (without telling current employer obviously).
It is an excuse to up date your CV, and if you look a good candidate hopefully get some interview practice. If you are not happy with your current workplace then these two things may be invaluable if something else comes up.
Even if you did get offered the job at Hubby's place, you could always make up a plausible reason to politely decline, if you change your mind in the meantime.

I agree, go for it, you'll regret it if you don't even apply for it.
Hope you enjoyed the twist :dance::dance:A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

So paperwork arrived in the post and we are down to 29 years and 9 months and I will be 50 *gulp*. I so cannot wait to get under 90kHouse purchased November 2013

So I have had some good and bad news. The good news is that we have had a letter from Severn Trent water to let us know that they want to reduce our DD from £25pm to £7.47
the second is that I had my car insurance renewal through. They originally quoted £474.18, gave them a quick call and they knocked it down to £365.89
Now the bad. A really close family friend passed awayand I got a call today saying that unfortunately I didn't make it to the 2nd round of interviews for the job at hubby's work. Not because I didn't interview well, but because they felt that I had more to offer than the job entails and that it wouldn't be fair on me as it wouldn't use all my skill set that I have to offer.

So I had my sister up for the weekend and she had got some free cinema tickets so we only had to pay for one person which was good. Also did a £2,010 overpayment which is our normal£450 plus£560 that I had borrowed from ourselves to pay for my new car as I was a little short, and my mum has paid back the Las of the money she had borrowed off us when she was struggling with her bills while selling her house (£1K) this along with our normal monthly payment should take us under £90K which will be a good feeling.House purchased November 2013
