Another £55 to add.0

Congratulations on the £55!I keep hoping but no sign yet - it is foul out there - definitely no chance of filming either outside or in my little studio shed as the noise is deafening in there when it rains! It wont make money for a while since I have given free membership to the online course people to get it established and some value goingI also need to get an "on demand" course going that doesn't require my input and perhaps some ebooks. So much to do - really need to buck myself up!
Have a lovely weekend.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Moring Mizmir,
Hope all is ok in your world. Guess you are busy with all the business things happening, but don't be gone long

Morning! No - just a busy weekend - not so much business as house sorting etc. All looking good to start the week. Need to do a meal plan and shop for the rest of the month this morning. I have £75 left in my groceries budget so hoping will come in under that.
Had a few spends over the weekend - dog food (budgeted), lunch out on Sunday (fun money), and a couple of things for we needed for working on the house (home improvement pot). I also bought a mic I need for the video and OH bought a book for a work project - both squeezed into the budget. So feeling like this is all controlled and thought out.
Haven't got away scot free from the weather however - neighbour pointed out the flashing on our chimney had come awayso need to allocate money for that repair. Hopefully have enough in the emergency fund and home fund to cover it - though I have no idea how much it is likely to cost or how to find a reliable and reasonably priced roofer! Any ideas?
Hope you've all had a good weekend. Just off to catch up.0 -
Moring Miz
Well done done the budgeted/controlled spends over the weekend.
Shame about the roof. If you live in Dorset, I am married to a cheap roofer. Have a feeling you are waaaay up north though.
Find a little sole trader out the back of a local rag. No VAT to have to pay then. Good luck
I have also got the groceries to sort out today and meal plan for the rest of the week. Have a mental blank of dinner choices lately. I have run out of inspiration. Mad really when I have a freezer full of meat. Got to get my act together.
Have a good day xx0 -
Ooh yes, roofing needs paying attention to! As I've been blathering about on my diary, I'm getting the pointing done alone one wall - its a pain, but the consequences of not getting it done are plain to see on the inside of that wall - seepage! Horrible! And the hall is freezing as a result.
Loving the controlled and thought out spends - positive vibes that it continues today for the food shopping2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Well shopping done and I am a tad over budget but I have stocked up with a few things and got extra meat on offer so should last into March. Today I am going to sort out our food cupboard. Things are falling out when I open the door and I am sure there are things lurking at the back that never see the light of day! Trouble is our kitchen is really rickety - and doesn't have enough storage space so everything is piled into that cupboard. But I will organise it and hopefully discover we could live out of it for weeks!
Anyway I have upped my food budget by £20 to £200 - to allow for a little lee way for fresh veg etc. That stills seems reasonable and is about half what we were spending before I got hold of things.
What was terrifying is that I first went to Aldi and got 5 bags of shopping for under £60. I then went to Tesco to pick up a few bits and bobs - one bag of shopping - over £30!:eek::eek: Got that down to under £25 with vouchers etc. but still - crazy. Might have to try Lidl (which is up the road from Aldi) and see if they have any of the things Aldi don't.
Steph - we're in South Wales so I don't think it would work for your husband to do the roof-what a pity - would love to find someone reliable - and I always pay on time!
Will ask our chimney sweep if he knows anyone and check the local mags. Thanks0 -
Glad to hear you are all safe after the Friday night storm, but sorry to hear you've got to pay out for the flashing repair, definitely a must do.
Well done on the purchases from budgets and hope you had a lovely lunch out on Sunday.
Happy meal planning and grocery shoppingI'd be lost without our plan stuck on the fridge door - a reminder of what to get out of the freezer the night before and DS can check without having to ask me every 5 minutes :rotfl:

Damn damn damn. Just broken a chunk off a tooth - think it may already be filled so what's the betting it needs to be crowned!!:mad: It is one of the front side ones too so very obvious and difficult to avoid. Had better ring the dentist in the morning....0
