Me too lol - I've got the baby on my knee and I've just woken her up giggling!

I had a horrible first labour and a lovely second one, so I'm in the 'it gets easier' camp - but whatever happens, it will be worth it (I know, you get sick of hearing that, don't you!).

I had about 12 people in my room with second labour... they didn't tell me when my epidural wore off I could have more.. I was so off my head with the Gas & Air.. I refused to let go of it even when I'd had my Epidural - the Anaesthetist told the Midwife to stop the tug of war we had going on (is the NHS short of Gas canisters or something!?) and said I could have it for 'psychological reasons' :D

The wall paper was the same colour as the sheet that was over me.. so when the Anaesthetist asked me to wiggle my toes.. I looked down at the Peach sheet against the Peach walls and asked him 'where's my f****g leg gone?'.... it was horrendous...

And pushing my second boy out.. I was staring at some bloke to the left of me that hard I remember making him shift around with unease :rotfl:

Your post did make me chortle to myself!

Might aswell add my experiences; First birth was sooo bad, never thought I'd have any more (didn't think I'd ever have sex again for starters!), second one was ok but recovery was bad, was told dr had stiched me up too tight and I could hardly walk for weeks! In fact they were so bad i had elective sections for my last two and recovery afterwards was a lot better. Have been told that I'm not really built for childbirth, very slim hips and quite petite!

I loved being pregnant and the births.
DD(7) was 6 weeks early and they classed my labour as 12 hours long, although I didn't realise I was in labour and gave birth an hour after arriving at hospital, just 2 puffs of gas and air.
DS(3)was 3 weeks early he was a 9 hour labour, this time the gas and air made me sick(Iwould never use it again),I had an injection of pethedine but it was too late, when it went in it really stung and just made DS drowsy.
All I kept saying to my mam,who was with me was please remind me how painfull this is if I ever want another child, but I didn't scream or raise my voice unlike another lady who I could hear down the hall who I think you would be able to hear the opposite end of the hospital:eek: .

All said I would have another child if we are blessed.
Good luck anyone who is pregnant with the child birth

I was in labour for 28 hours with DD1 and ended up having a ventouse. With DD2 I was induced as I had preeclampsia and I was in labour for 13 hours and ended up having forceps. I was violently sick with both of them and had a terrible headache with both. At the time of my second pregnancy I found I was spending a lot of time with women who were on their first pregnancy who didn't seem to know what was in store. I think they think it's going to be all fluffy toys and pretty dresses but they don't tell you about cracked nipples, backache and stitches.
