  • when peeps are doing these burger shops, are you using the PP from the previous day as part payment?
If so, does the SA ever say anything?
I always feel guilty handing over a big PP and receiving another one back from the same shop.

I used ss tills and used the previous days Pp. mr t pp doesn't show the sa what you bought the previous day unlike @, it could just be a coinsidence that its for a similar amount. :)

My shop also didn't work out as expected after all. I'm wondering if I had Price Checked it before midday it would have been more in my favour? On my order it says £5.20 each, but as others have said only the colour worked for me.
    Had a strange day.
Have been ill for a week, went with friend before his work to pick up CC shop. Came home had a cuppa and got ready for hospital appointment for eye screening (diabetic) and an X-Ray on my arm that is hurting, at the site almost 3mths after my flu jab.
Just as I left the house I had a massive coughing fit and couldn't breathe.
Tried to calm down, DH called Dr. and was told to call 999. Paramedics came, gave me oxygen and called an ambulance.
So ended up in hospital till around 3pm, more oxygen, tests and waiting about.
Given a pump for if it happens again and have a bit of crackling on right top lung.
Missed my appointments, came home and slept due to all the excitement.
Now I'm not sure if I missed out on the other Ariel's because I checked them late or same as everyone else and they just didn't match.
On my CC invoice they all say £5.20, on receipt 2 lots show £3.00. Oh well, at least I got 4 at the reduced price and I'm breathing!
Thanks for all the help as ever guys

Sounds like me, although never been banned just told we have enough, no more:rotfl::rotfl: but had selective hearing:rotfl::rotfl:

I am told between a few expletives I am not to bring anymore of "x" into the house, it's me that uses the term banned because he really does get angry at the time it is blocking the hallway, filling the table, piling up on the lounge floor etc but he does calm down again. ;)

It's a good job I am a tidy person at heart and have a knack of hiding all the stuff away. If I got it all out from all over the house I think he would probably have a heart attack.

I listen for a few days and calm my buying down, but then if something good comes along I just can't resist. :o
  • Does anybody in your house eat meat? Although I am Veggie, everyone else is a meat eater, hence the gammon! On this shop I did not get any cannelloni.. it was nice! It is on my list for next week.

I'm the only veggie in Jelly Towers, but I don't do any of the meat buying (not out of principle or anything, I just don't).
The cannelloni is excellent, the four cheese ravioli not so good (at least the Count on Us version) - quite a lot of liquid in the tomato sauce, I opened up one corner of the covering before cooking to pour some of it off first.
And, since it was a genuine complaint, I emailed M&S and got this very nice reply:
Thanks for your email about the Count on Us four cheese ravioli you bought from us recently. I’m sorry you were disappointed with the quality of it.
We appreciate any customer feedback which will help us identify where we can still improve a product. It seems that, despite our rigorous quality controls with our supplier, we’ve not met expectations on this occasion.
I’d like to inform our Food technologists so they can investigate and take steps to make sure the highest standards are being met. Please take any available packaging and your receipt to the Food Information Desk in your local store. My colleagues there will be able to capture all the information from it so we can pass it on. They will, of course, also offer you a full refund.

So I'll be taking in the packaging (two lots, actually) for a refund; it's just a shame I didn't keep the receipt.:)

There are different standards but swearing in front of and at your children isn't on. Neither is constantly yelling at the kids at home and out and about. We can't prove the being left at home allegation but it couldn't be ignored. If any of us had spoke to her about it, we'd have been met with the proverbial hand. Our hands were/are tied and we can only do what we think is best at the time :( hopefully one day, when he's older, he'll understand that we did our best for him :)

The issue of swearing and yelling is contentious as many see this as cultural, can you imagine ss involvement with all families who display this behaviour. But leaving a child home alone is a criminal act (dependent on Frazer Guidelines), and if discovered (this needs to be the child actually discovered home alone) is likely to lead to safeguarding measures and may lead to a criminal prosecution.

There is the private law route which appears to be appropriate route, unless you can prove he is home alone.
