Does anyone know anything about DIY laying laminate flooring?

I'd like to have some next to the front door, it's approx 1.3m squared. I have the laminate and underlay (was given), but we don't have a clue how to do it, and no tools for cutting etc.

I assume getting someone in to do it may be expensive.. has anyone any experience of this?
I am having a laminate floor laid on Fri and I am being charged £10 per sq metre. HTH
  • Right, I have shop voucher, green redeem voucher and bespoke voucher. I bet you can't guess where I am going today. Is it silly that I am positively excited.
No, not at all. I am planning another M&S voucher shop on Friday evening, and am like a giddy kipper:) or dizzy fritter:):), whichever applies.
The sad thing is, though, is that's the best on offer for Friday night excitement, at the moment:o

Same here :D Planning on popping back down there on Friday. Want to pick up some cards anyway, and it is next to a massive T so will have to pop in there again to see if anything is going cheep (not chicken - might get that from M&S :D) It is such fun :D

Was it ever confirmed as working instore? I thought it was a c&c/home delivery goitch

Is that Scottish for glitch? :p

    Evening peeps. :)

Not much to find at T's except that I found a whole clipstrip of the 1p photo keychains at last!!, first time I've seen them! And 1 bag of Haribo Halloween sweets.

Feeling a bit low. Didn't go to see wife as I'm still a bit angry as to how she left, so didn't want a row! She or her family DONT come on here so nothing to worry about there. She has text me to say where she is and it's a bit weird!
Around 18 months ago I was contacted by a family who wanted to do a house exchange, they really liked our house but next day called to say that decided to stay where they were, fair enough. I'd already looked at their house to see what it was like (only from the outside, wife didn't come)

Guess where my wife is??? In that house now!! What are the odds of that!!

    evening all,
went from a quite lazy day in to a hectic one,
started when ds2 tripped with a bowl of cereal and redecorated the entire kitchen with it:eek: up the walls over the oven everywhere.

then oh says we need to get a trailer of hay, as ds2 of college to help, but the yard road was to wet so we had to unload trailer on the road and carry to the barn with tractor bucket,

then oh dropped his dentures in a water butt:rotfl: (only has them as horse broke his teeth)

finally ds3 gets home in a bad mood as cant take the options he wants at school he wanted IT, technology, geography and french but can only take 3 options and if he does IT and technology he cant do either french or geography for a 14 year old that has his future mapped out including college and uni it was a bit of a blow and he is very unhappy is it usual to get such a rubish choice

worse i never got to any shops:(

If its the click and lock type that is quite easy to put down
but remember for any pieces that need cutting to put some masking tape where you are cutting ,so that it doesn't ruin the laminate ,but also there is a laminate floor sort of tool pack with instructions only about a £10
