I am going to try to talk to her later ( not easy as she will shout me down ) and say either its those rates or we are finished. I will have to do last quarter's VAT but had already said I would probably finish her bookkeeping this year as she moaned so much about the software license cost last year.
Have a written text in front of you, let her shout, then calmly finish what you have in front of you. I always think that people that lose their temper have already lost the argument. If she shouts she thinks you are right. Whatever happens and whatever decision you make, make sure it is the right one for you. She is obviously a fairly controlling person and does not want to release that control, you need to feel good about yourself and she wants to feel good about herself, controlling you obviously does this for her.
Whatever you do, make sure you are happy about your decision and don't let her bully you.
Good luck. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

Yes i need the money but i also need my self esteem and pride. So the evening then descended into a million phone calls and texts trying to get me to agree. went to bed at 9.30 and am now exhausted.
What do you think?
Oh Rose. I really feel for you. I agree with what most people are saying: sounds like your sister has exploited you (we know that anyway from your past tales). Yes she has paid and employed you on an ad-hoc basis but she is being unfair. State your case to her calmly but be prepared to walk away. Sending you a massive hug :ASunshinemummy wrote: »Well done.
I think she needs to treat you the same as the other staff and if she cannot she needs to employ someone else and realise that she has lost the most loyal and trusting worker she has x She needs you more than you need her xxx:o:o:o

rose28454, I think your sister is taking the pee, but is this cash in hand or through a contract and paid properly with income tax and NI paid? Even if it is cash in hand you are still down but not as much, but you really need to get a contract in place.
As for pet hates - people who put stationary instead of stationery or vice-versa. I have even seen it on official documents. It is not hard to remember which is which - e is for envelope!Tiger

thanks for replyingAre there two casino's then? The Forbury was offering a deal with entry to the G. casino, £5 chip, dinner in the restaurant, drink on arrival etc. I'd prefer to do nice meal and cocktails in the hotel but seeing as it's OH's birthday treat, perhaps i should do the casino instead.

Grammar is a different thing, that can be down to different levels of education, or even a lack of understanding of our language? Or even in a lot of cases.....autocorrect! Don't be too hard on people because they put an apostrophe in the wrong place
I can tolerate it with children but that's about it, although having said that my 6 year old DD knows the apostrophe goes where the missing letter should have been!:p
Morning all!:)
