A new diary! With a virtual sealed pot - what a good idea! And there are so many faces :D I recognise **happy sigh**. All the biscuits are divine too .. :rotfl:

I wish you all the lovely fresh country walks your heart desires, along with the kitten to be on your lap in the evening, as well as the structure to let you experience every moment (I love what you wrote at the beginning there).

    3) the NHS. Got to talking to surgeon today. He was offered a $2m dollar a year package to practice in US last year. Chemo is around $150,000 dollars a treatment plan. I get my wholly committed NHS boy and all the drugs I can handle for the price of my stamp. I think that should make me very appreciative.

I had reason to be thankful to the NHS for the speedy and timely treatment of a life-threatening condition in a younger member of the wider Greying clan recently. I sincerely hope, and said at the time, that we never, ever sleep walk into the US style system of 'insurance based' health *provision*. It won't be care, it'll be *provision* for those that can afford it only.

So I wholly endorse your *gratefuls*, but #3 really spoke for me.

Have a great day - you planning any Husky walking today? :D

    Hello all.

I'm loving the biscuits and Ginger Cake is one of my favorite things so if anyone has any recipes they'd be appreciated.

Today has started...emmm....slowly. It's cleaners day but they're late so SB and I just poottered, most constructive thing I've done is to post here.

Favourite District Nurse phoned and he's mot allowed to pop by anymore so I've to call in next hour and formally request a visit. I shall feel guilty but he does help me get me little brain around some of this so there is a small amount of non-emergency help appreciated.

Off out with Husky for walk and lunch, cleaners can let themselves in and out.

Have a wonderful day all...apart from "No Tablet Nelly" - some people :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Just subscribed to your new diary kissjenn. Hope 2014 is a good one for you. Don't worry about the finances - your health is way more important! Sending lots of postive vibes and maybe a biscuit or two!

Sadly we are heading in that direction only .... pet insurance is very much heading this way already :(

I think the NHS gets a raw deal most of the time - I can honestly say that when I was last in the standard of care was absolutely fantastic - although I do know that - as KJ will probably also say, we are rather spoiled if we're lucky enough to fall under the care of the WGH as it really is exceptional IMHO :T

kissjen tell me that you have already made MemoryGirl's ginger cake recipe??? It is absolutely lush! It's simple as anything to make and, coz Elaine is a Fife gal, it'll not break the bank to make it either :D Recipe HERE if you need it :D
